Solid 3.5 to 4 stars. The inside is nice, but a bit too bright. There are very bright lights directly above the tables and they are uncomfortably bright. I know that’s a weird point to make, but I stand by it.
I ordered the mushroom and swiss burger. The burger portion size was appropriate, not massive like most places do. If you’re looking for a giant burger, this ain’t it. If you want a nicely portioned meal, this is it. The flavors were REALLY good, especially the garlic aioli. The fries were good too.
The food took a long time to arrive, and the place was pretty empty. The food is actually made downstairs at Savage Sandwiches and they have to go down and get it. The menu for the pub is very limited, but that generally means they do them well.
I really liked the vibe and the music they were playing. The two staff there were friendly and we all got a laugh when the power fluctuated and the music died. Overall, I’d go back here. Seems like it would be a nice place to hang out and drink...
Read moreIt's been a few years since I've been to Shamrocks and theres definitely a significant change in the culture of the bar. Initially it was very Irish with bar foods such as flatbreads and the like. I asked for a black and tan and was told that was not available on tap. However the taps seem pretty clean and have crisp beers.
It has partnered with a kitchen and the menu roughly 6 to 7 items total. I don't think that's a bad thing for a bar to routinely stick to a small rotation of dishes. So that is not reflected on my 3/5 star review.
There are a few beer pong tables if you're into that thing. It appeals to a younger crowd of military and locals, I did not see any tourists other than myself there that night. The music is loud and not consistent with the bar theme. It fits in between a blend of a club with 4 people on the dance floor and a...
Read moreI've heard about their wings and beer cheese dip. Queue up pregnancy cravings and beer cheese dip is what I went looking for. Little did I know their WHOLE menu basically disintegrated. They now only have 6 items on their menu, none of them what my pregnancy craving wanted. As I made the drive out there I ordered something anyhow. The C.B.G. was pretty tasty. I won't say much past that because of my pregnancy taste buds being off. At brief glance their booze menu seemed pretty large. The music was top tier in my opinion 👌 👏 the staff was extremely friendly. But still only 3 stars because of their lack of food menu. For a placed called Shamrocks, people will have expectations. You can't get around that. If the hubs wants to go out with his friends I'd suggest this place as a first stop, the music and booze would definitely set them up...
