I stopped in the other day as a recommendation from the folks who work at Cid's. I ordered the fish and chips. My ONLY complaint was that the fries and fish need to be laid on something to absorb the oil a little before putting it in the container. Everything else about this meal was frickin PHENOMENAL!! The fish was spectacular. Perfectly battered and perfectly cooked. The outside was slightly crunchy, and the inside was moiste, flakey, and flavorful! I don't like fried fish, but I LOVED this! Now, the fries... Mediterranean fries... so packed with flavor!! I added just a bit of salt because I love salty fries. But these didn't need it, I'm just extra. The sauce the meal came with was light with a super interesting, slightly tangy/creamy flavor. The watermelon juice was a nice, light, summery addition to the meal. Last but not least, the people. The girl who took my order was kind and helpful and super efficient! The kitchen guys were fantastic! They seemed to enjoy what they did, especially talking about the food as the one guy with brown hair handed it to me. His excitement was infectious, and I was stoked to try the food by the time I got in my car. Seriously, phenomenal job, all y'all! I'll definitely be back and I've told everyone about y'all! Can't wait to try everything on the menu! Thanks for making it a great...
Read morefirstly, to clarify my low star rating. My brother and i got food poisoning on our very first visit. we ordered fish and chips. my brother was hit before he finished his meal. and i was slammed an hour later when we arrived home. My brother and i were professional chefs for many years and i still am for large events. to be fair, sysco, shamrock, and any commodity food delivery regularly delivers anncient and contaminated food. and i have left restaurants who refuse to upgrade their food sources beyond sysco. cids is right next door, and if they would just get their meat and fish from cid’s this would never happen. The owner, staff and cook are all really wonderful people, and 5 stars for them. The fish was deep fried at too low a temperature, which happens when the deep fryer is not in use and not hot before your order is placed, we went at a quiet time. the fish was more like a corn dog, with very heavy breading outside. It really didn’t turn out well at all. The chips would have been good if the oil was hotter. However, most customers lack the patience to wait for the deep fry oil to get to the right temperature, and this is a common phenomena if you aren’t dining at a very busy time . This is the only time in over 20 years that we had food...
Read moreWe were excited to find a place with 4.8 but were very disappointed by the service and atmosphere although the food was good. We had the gyro (delicious) and the Mediterranean salad (amazing and great dressing) but weren't lucky to find the pies which were all out at 4:30 pm. The french toast dessert was not good and a little burnt in the bottom. The bad part of our experience though was one of the waiters (a guy). He wasn't very nice with me when I asked questions about the menu and made me uncomfortable even asking and then he got into a verbal fight with another client that was clearly very upset about something and stormed out shutting the door (in a rude way) but the waiter threw something aiming to his car and shouted and cursed while the customer was leaving in front of us sitting in our table. The whole thing must've had an explanation from both sides but it definitely doesn't feel comfortable to witness...
