Wendy's — Restaurant in Taos

The Wendy's in Taos is a pretty popular lunch and dinner spot for locals, tourists and visitors alike to the Taos area. The reason is their quality of food they make and serve is Very Good for being fast food. Of course, the Wendy's Hamburgers Restaurant brand is well-known for only serving fresh hamburger patties that are never frozen. This seems to really make A difference in the taste quality and the Taos Wendy's does a great job of keeping Dave's High Standards for his Wendy's Hamburger Restaurants. Here in Taos at Wendy's, You have the Complete Wendy's menu available from their Classic Dave's Hamburger or Cheeseburgers to Grilled Chicken sandwiches that are also delicious. The Dave's Cheeseburgers Are My Favorites because it's a good size burger and like all of their sandwiches, from burgers to chicken sandwiches (grilled or deep fried), they come with lettuce, tomato, pickles and either mustard and ketchup or mayo on the sandwiches although you can always tell them if you don't want certain condiments or lettuce or tomato on your sandwich. That's another great thing at Wendy's, your food will be cooked when you order it and it tastes freshly made, not like its been sitting under the heat lamps for an hour or two like some places. Also, the prices are reasonable. The Dave's combo with burger, medium fries and medium soft drink is about $6, the Double burger with 2 patties is about an additional $1.85. The grilled chicken combo is about $7 and they do have a value menu that's a real nice deal if you don't want to spend a lot. The have smaller Burgers for $1.50 with cheese $1.75 and they have the deep fried chicken sandwich for $1.50. Finally the Wendy's in Taos is located right on main street in the middle of town. It's always clean and the employees are friendly. Right now because of Covid, the dining room inside is not open and only the drive thru is open for ordering but the staff is good about getting the orders to the customers without much delay so by the time you get to the window your food is either in the bag or at most it might take a minute or two. I Recommend Wendy's in Taos if you want a good classic American Hamburger or Cheeseburger or Chicken Sandwich that is fresh off the grill and won't cost too much money. We are from Espanola, and on Sunday the 23, 2017 came to Taos to church and to do alil shopping. After church let out around 1:30pm myself and husband and sister in-law decided to come eat at Wendys as we had done before. This day was a very bad experience!!! Never had I see such a horrible Older Female Manager with glasses and short hair treating almost every customer who were waiting to place an order.. With such a bad and NASTY ATTITUDE! One of the customers who was in front of me was gonna place her order and this NASTY old lady told her to wait that she was still dealing with the first order. After the young ladys order was complete she kindly asked for a beverage holder she literally threw the cups she had In her hand on the counter and made a horrible sigh, and said I'm busy dealing with orders, the young girl told her she didn't need to have such a NASTY ATTITUDE.. The Lady manager replied there's a lot of people waiting to get served and you are bothering.. She said maybe if you had more help you would be so.. NASTY! She got the beverage carrier and slammed it on the counter. I was shocked as well as my family and other customers.. she also treated a male customer nasty after he replied" I ordered a drink as well ,"and she replied" it's over there you go get it!" I said I was not gonna stick around for these and have some one whose supposed to be professional and show examples to there employees on how to treat there customers with respect and to see such treatment! We left... as well as others did too. I've never seen this manager before but I really think Wendys higher managers need to really know who they have running there facility.. And take in consideration and remove this individual from there facility. That's embarrassing and very unprofessional. I for one will not go there if this lady's there again.. Prior to this incident everything was better.. but because of this manager it's not a good...

Wendy's is the only fast food burger place we go to and has been for more years than I care to mention. But service at this location was poor and my wife's longtime favorite menu item, the grilled chicken sandwich has disappeared from the menu. I ordered iced tea and the young lady cashier plunked an empty cup on the counter and, when I looked puzzled, indicated that I should fill it at the automated soda machine. Wendy's has brewed their own iced tea for perhaps 20 years (more?), so I'm now even more puzzled. I study all the buttons on the machine and there's definitely no iced tea. Go back to the counter, and a supervisor instructs the young lady on how to fill a cup with iced tea. The resulting bland liquid buried in a mass of ice was more like colored water than iced tea. I threw it out. My wife ordered a wrap that contained traces of chicken. Shrew threw it out.We probably won't be back to Wendy's in the future unless it's just for a chocolate Frosty which is still as good as ever but downsized...
