The Native Plant Spa is a new addition to Taos's healing offerings. It is conveniently located within walking distance from downtown. The interior is beautiful and welcoming. Its use of native wood to decorate the ceiling and walls and to create shelving and furniture honors the nature from which it was harvested. April, the owner, is a trained herbalist who harvests the native herbs seasonally and assists clients in the selection of herbs for individual needs. Her chai is delicious and always available. And the spa is a true delight. It's totally private with its own bathroom. Spa offerings include a huge gorgeous copper tub in which to soak in heated water (you control the temperature) containing an individually selected herbal infusion. There is a beautiful wooden bed lined with pebbles and crystals to lie upon; heated rocks are buried in the pebbles, and there is an infrared light that can augment the warmth received from the bed. April is very in tuned to what your body needs and provides a customizable soak bag in your copper bath just for you! I recommend this for everyone! I went between the copper soaking tub and the crystal hot rock bed. Very grounding space with native wood, nice robes, locally made Taos lotions to use after your treatments and delicious teas to finish your experience! Very affordable and I will be back...
