We arrived to basically an empty restaurant.... should have been first clue. It was a family dinner and we asked for deck seating. First questionable experience was a staff member also sitting on the deck, seeing us he still used loud and vulgar language while apparently having a end of shift drink. Next was while my fiance was eating her salad her chair fell through the deck. Apparently some of the boards on the deck are rotted and the staff told us they try to keep those rotted boards covered with tables instead of chairs. The manager Steve came over and informed us that they don't own the place, they just lease it and left. Offered no help, no apologies, nothing, didn't spend more than 10 seconds with us, our waitress bought her and I a beer. This is not a family friendly environment and if this is the concern they show for costumer safety....leaves you wondering where else they're trying to hide their shortcomings. My advice is to stay on concrete and don't bring your children. As for us, we will not be returning. UPDATE. So I called the restaurant and spoke with one of the staff and inquired about the deck and if there were repairs done. They were not at this time. Manager Steve called me yelling and upset that I did so, after hanging up on him he CALLED ME BACK yelling and threatening. This place is insane. I hope the owner, Mr. Cavalieri has a talk about professionalism with...
Read moreTook over the "shrimp wrecked" restaurant space on the water. Extremely slow service, friendly and accurate, just very slow. We were there nearly 3 hours and only had 2 drinks, even getting water was slow. Wait staff overwhelmed. Had dozen raw, big plump oysters $18 very good price. Generic watery cocktail sauce though. Bang bang shrimp were very good. Smoked fish spread good, ask for lemon wedge to squeeze on it. They serve with saltines, would be better with captains wafers. Main meal Had Mahi Mahi, shrimp both blackened and a crapcake. Served with cocktail sauce which goes with none of those items and Dijon for crabcake. WAY too much blackened seasoning on shrimp. Fish was a little dry w/too much bite but taste ok. Crabcake average, priced fairly. I absolutely would not order the coleslaw. Almost dry, zero flavor at all. More like a bowl of slightly damp cabbage. Pina colada watery, too sweet and ice chucks, not blended enough. I'd recommend sticking to beer. They need to invest a little in better condiments. Everything was generic and watery. Overall I would go back to try some more items. Decent, just not great. I would go if I could walk in and sit within 5...
Read moreIf you feel like having the worst service on the spongedocks, go to docks waterfront! I work on the docks and officially started telling everyone to stay away. :)
Edit- Yall really need to sit down and tell your bartenders how to do proper service. I avoid this place like the plague. 3 times I've tried to come back since the GM contacted me telling me to give them another chance. 2/3 times I faced the same problem of never being talked to by any of the staff. I gave 5 minutes at least each time. Today was the final straw. Only came in because it was raining and had to wait for my ride home. Big wow @ the bartender, kept my change after taking my money. Had to stare him down till he gave it back. Don't EVER do that. That made your $5 tip, $1. I've been service industry for 9 years. At this point the GM should have had a long talk with staff, as I see other reviews have had the exact same issue as I have. You want to run a busy spot? Be on top of your customers. They are your profit. Jfc. Don't bother responding to this post please. I don't care. Service is the face of your restaurant and I've seen all I...
