This is by far the worst experience I have ever had a restaurant. A month ago I came here and got seated and nobody greeted us after 20 min of waiting so we walked out. Decided to give it another chance today. I can’t believe how long I sat there. So much time wasted. Most restaurants prioritize getting you out after 45 minutes. I sat for 1 hour waiting JUST for an appetizer. It took15 minutes to get just a water. We ordered simple food that can be cooked in under 10 minutes. Zucchini fries, saganaki, calamari and a VEGGIE PITA! That’s all! And we waited two hours. Tables of seven were being served meats of all sorts and heavier dishes , and the entire time of us waiting, nobody checked on us once. Our waters were empty, the servers and owner or management wouldn’t even make eye contact with us when they’d walk by when we wanted to address this.. It was absolutely terrible and multiple people walked out saying how slow they were. I am in the service industry so I entirely understand that people are ONLY human and I frown upon those who act like they need to be a priority at all costs, but two hours? We walked out without getting the food we ordered- then they had the audacity to try to charge us for food that never came that we waited two whole hours for. Do better. If you can’t keep up with the amount of tables, then don’t have that amount of tables. you’re better off going to...
Read moreNot really sure how people rate food but this place was mediocre at best. Opted to sit outside. One wait staff for both in and out. Place had two other tables taken and from what I could see, one inside. Appetizer of three dips arrived with 8 pita quarters. Requested more and get 8 more tiny wedges. Lemon soup defies description. Suffice to say, it was pretty awful. Entree of gyro was hot and fresh, chicken kabobs cold, preprepared skewers we brought home for the pups. Cesar salad with chicken had crisp lettuce, generic prepacked croutons and slices of meat def came in precooked. The Parmesan was classic plasticy cheese that had the looks and taste of cold sphagetti. Finally, well done chicken over speciality salad was undercooked cold same prepackaged stuff. Smoking is allowed in the outdoor dining area so besides meh food, we got to inhale second hand smoke. This was not our first choice but the place we wanted to go was closed. Embarrassed as we brought out of town family here, excited about trying a new place. Bad...
Read moreI've had Greek food at all the Greek places in the area. When my GF & I walked past Alati we thought it looked nothing like your traditional Sponge Dock Greek places and we were hesitant to try this place out. We were shocked. Alati destroys all the Greek food in this area. Better than Hellas and Mykonos by a wide margin. Traditional as traditional food can get, with a contemporary setting, at prices lower than their competitors. Best Pita, Tzatziki, Lamb, Feta, & Baklava I've had in the area. The only issue we had was slower service. But it was Greek Easter, & they were slammed. And our waiter spoke little English. Not a huge issue for us. But they may want to increase staff for busy times like today. There seemed to be 3 waiters at peak time. Other than that this is can't miss. I never review places and had to because the food here is...
