Visited on 5 de Mayo and what a dissapointment.

Ordered the Carne ( Steak) Asada which comes with side or Rice, beans their house salad guac + Sour cream.

The Carne Asada which also had Onion ( Awesome!) was a bland, lacked seasoning. A steak cant be this horrible! Almost seemed like it was cooked with no salt, pepper or any special seasoning added. It was just bad. A starving dog wouldnt like.

The rice was decent, beans decent, if you mix it all and slapt it on a soft tortilla its a decent bite. Yet, we dont go out to taste decent... we want to experience a great and satisfying dinner that even while full you just want tl finish it.. this was not it.

Also had the queso fundido and that wasnt bad. I will not say anything bad.

Had a Margarita and that wasnt bad. They were not offering flavors because they were too busy ( 5 de Mayo).

Also, ordered shrimp and chicken fajita. Not great or anything memorable about the taste, it was okay. Wouldnt really order it. The rice with beans, shrimp and chicken on a Soft tortilla makes the bite better but i am still cant get over how mediocre the food was. Mexican or Latino, Hispanic food is not like this at all. They can do so much better.

The service is def slow not sure why. And it felt disorganized. I can deal with "bad " or " slow" service if the food is delicious.

Overall i wouldnt come back foe the food. I wouldn't recommend. Hopefully they will make some slight changes to the food, possibly the chef needs to add extra seasoning....

Great atmosphere, outdoor seating, dog friendly, DJ for 5 de Mayo. Def enjoy the out door seating and best part of it.

My wife and I decided to go down to the sponge docks to walk around and grab a small bite to eat. We neither had any idea this place was here until we parked on a side road. We were both extremely happy that we parked down there as it brought us here.

We decided to try it out instead of the usual down there. Extremely friendly employees. We looked at the menu and decided on a blood orange margarita and a watermelon margarita. Let me tell you, those are both phenomenal. Real fruit in both, perfect balance of tequila and flavoring. Strong enough to enjoy and have just one and still be safe.

The service was excellent. Friendly, several check-ins and helpful.

We ordered the Nachos Supreme and the Empanadas. Upon arriving to the table it was clear that we made the right decision. The flavors blended so well and couldn't have been combined any better. The guacamole and queso kicked it over the top. The empanadas were the best I've ever had. Clearly made with quality ingredients and care.

Lastly we had the house made churros. Oh my goodness, truly a delight!

I will absolutely go back many times. I encourage everyone that is going to the docks to break free and go down to try it. You won't...

If you’re searching for a truly authentic Mexican dining experience, look no further than this gem of a family-owned restaurant. From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for a memorable meal. The staff is incredibly friendly, offering excellent service that makes you feel like part of the family.

The highlight, of course, is the food. Everything is freshly made, from the vibrant salsas to the homemade tortillas that perfectly complement each dish. The flavors are rich, bold, and unmistakably authentic—every bite takes you on a culinary journey through Mexico. The menu offers a variety of traditional dishes, from hearty tacos and tamales to mouthwatering enchiladas and tender carne asada.

Whether you’re a fan of spicy or mild, there’s something for everyone. The freshness of the ingredients shines through, and it’s clear that the dishes are made with love and care, just like they would be in a Mexican home kitchen.

In a world full of chain restaurants and processed meals, this family-owned spot is a breath of fresh air. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, freshly made Mexican cuisine with top-notch service to match. Highly...
