Tarpon Shell Shack — Local services in Tarpon Springs

This is not based on me walking inside the shop. Just customer experience. I was looking for an abalone shell, asked the lady who answered the phone if she sells them and she was helpful with providing me information on the item that I was looking for. I tend to ask too many questions, which I understand that not everyone has the patience or even time to answer. One of the questions I asked was if the items they sell are real, out of curiosity and nothing else, I have never seen this shop but that seemed to annoy/offend the lady I was taking to on the phone, that was not my intention. I have never been in this side of Florida, and that’s why I also bombarded her with questions. Back to the point, after getting annoyed with my constant questions, her tone changed and the way she let me know that she had customers was rude. That is how I felt, maybe that wasn’t her intention, but that is how she came across. The tone she used and how she said “You have an hour left and a for you to come down here you’re going to pay for a full day of parking.I have customers waiting in line right now. Do you need something else?” Again the tone she used with me is what I didn’t appreciate. I understand that my questions weren’t important, or I might’ve even just asked a stupid question or made her think that I was pranking her by accidentally calling the abalone shell a bowl, all I want to say is that she could’ve used a less rude tone, especially if you don’t know someone on a personals level, they have not used disrectful words or tone with you, or if they never even knew that tarpon springs was a town in Florida. I can’t say enough about this store and how wonderful the team inside is. Maureen the owner is a delight and she is just an angel. Lin who works there is also so wonderful and worked with us. My husband and I were looking for gifts for our family members to take with us abroad and wanted a big amount of them. Maureen worked with us so much and really truly went out of her way to make calls to warehouses and stay in touch with me by phone. Lin was so sweet too, the minute my husband and I explained what we wanted, she acted quickly and was such a great help. Even after Maureen and Lin got us what we needed, they went the extra mile of going through every piece to ensure they are in great condition. I just can’t say enough about them. I love to visit and walk the beautiful small town of Tarpon Springs. So before heading North I had to make one more visit.

My favorite store is TARPON SHELL SHACK . I was so thankful SUZZANN was again there to help me with my sponge selections. She was so knowledgeable and helpful the last time I visited.

Their clothing, gifts, and home décor are always plentiful and fun.
