When this place first opened, I liked the fact that it is close to my Job, and the food started out good. Well, that was until Today, and about a month back. The first instance was, I went there before work, and placed my order. There was a petite hispanic looking female at the window with a lot of make-up on. Presented herself nice, so I thought to myself, wow great customer service. However, upon pulling up to the window, she made me pull forward to wait on my meal which was practically small. I noticed that people before me waited at the window, then I realized why she had me to pull up. She knew the people who were behind me, and wanted to get them taken care of first. They were behind me and got their order before me. They drove out the lot, and only then did she come out with my meal. She totally forgot what I asked for. I parked to eat, and realized she gave me half of my order. So I had to drive around again which made me late for work. They had to make a few more Tenders that she either forgot, or was to busy to care for a customer, who would have frequented the place repetitively, until then. So I left. Then, today I placed an order for two Chicken Breasts and Fries. I also ordered two pieces of Tilapia to bring to work with me. I told the person at the window to please let the cook know not to fry them hard. I also repeated it to her. When I got my meal, it was so hard that it was dry. Then, instead of Tilapia, they gave me Catfish. I don't know what it is about some of these places, but customer service is so messed up until it has something to do with someone they know. It shouldn't be like this if i'm giving you $15 - $30 every time I come to your establishment. They really need to get some good cooks, and even better cashiers who have a heart to get the product to the people without error. You are presenting yourself as a professional, yet people are buying garbage. I don't have to, and will not come back, and will also encourage...
Read moreThere seems to be issues in regards towards shrimp and acquiring cocktail sauce. Been going on since they opened. Well just a few weeks ago we had the intercom order taker lady, whom has bright red hair and a attitude. She took our order of a large 30 piece shrimp. Upon ordering I asked for four 2oz cups of cocktail sauce. Get to the window and paid the bill, we wait 10 minutes and get the food. There was no sauce. I asked for some and she said "we dont have none. We have ranch, or ketchup" I politely asked for a refund because there is no point in eating with out any. She goes after rolling her eyes, comes back with about 12 oz in a soup cup of sauce. Fast forward to last night, 7-6-2020. The same bright red haired girl with a attitude was standing out back on a smoke break by the garbage can and intercom. She saw us and we saw her. I get to the intercom window and a different lady than the one with the red hair asked our order, and we order a 30piece large shrimp. Before confirming my order I ask about cocktail sauce. The original order taker stopped talking on the intercom and the red head girl takes over. She says, " we dont have cocktail sauce and I am going to have to go look in the back to make sure we have shrimp. It looks like we dont have shrimp". We you lost a $30 a week customer because of the talent that works here. I do not leave reviews often and when i do I'm upset. I'm afraid to eat there now because of possible tampering from...
Read moreThis was my first time at Captain Jay's and it is my last time. The place didn't look like it was open, the open sign was not on. There wasn't any one else in the parking lot so I called to see if they were even open. After several rings they did answer and yes they were open. I was greeted as I walked in, didn't know there was a drive thru, I am disabled and would have used that, nothing saying they had a drive thru, I saw the window after I was in the store. I told the the young lady I wanted to dinners, she didn't offer any help, after I order things separate, I saw the sign for combo meals, she should have pointed that out to me considering I told her I wanted meals. She was extremely quiet and difficult to hear, I had to ask her to repeat almost everything she asked. I ordered extra cocktail sauce for the shrimp and when I took it to my 86 year old mother there was none! I got 2 pieces of cod and enough tartar sauce to float a small boat. The containers would not stay closed, the shrimp was soggy and the cod overcooked. I waited for at least 15 minutes. They were very concerned about whether or not I wanted lemon pepper, she asked like 4 times, I wish the same effort went into making sure there was cocktail sauce. Hush puppies were very hard. The cole slaw and Mac n cheese were good. It was a waste of my time and money, I highly DO NOT recommend...
