I’ve had food a few times, one through drive thru and the other two dine. They advertise all you can eat chicken, fish and sides on Sundays for 11-7. I kind of felt bad for the staff but kind of didn’t, I feel like it’s more an management problem. A lot of that staff seemed like high schoolers which isn’t the problem but they didn’t have any help/guidance far as manning stations. It’s not an age thing but sometimes you need staff with more experience to jump in and help.
Maybe drive thru has priority because the times I’ve been the dining room you just saw a bunch of people not eating. For a any restaurant that can be problem especially if the food doesn’t take long to cook. I saw cars taking off but people still waiting on food for 30+ mins. It’s slow during slow times and slower during busy times.
So all you can eat you have to go back and tell them you want more. It took 1 hour and 30 mins to get two plates of food. They didn’t bother refilling the next plate. 35+ mins go past and now Togo boxes are now sitting on our dine in plate/tray. We just left, the cashier avoided eye contact and the cook wore gloves sometimes while battering food. The kitchen is very open so even if you weren’t being nosey you can see the grease/food on the floor, watching phones and just staring at the drive thru screen to avoid looking at the line of people who ordered.
No reason to lie but I hope some management will read this and help their staff out. I love LJS but won’t be back for a long time. Maybe a different location. Every fast food place will have busy times but nothing is done about it, no moving faster to get the rush done. Just panic and stressed faces, the staff deserves better! And so do the dine...
Read moreTrying to make an online order for the Michigan Taylor location and after 11 attempts of putting location in and it cycleling back to location input and getting frustrated I decided to call and see why it was not working and the employee told me they are going to but haven't set this up for this location yet. They just renewed the store about 8 or 9 months ago I think that's plenty of time and it have been open that long to get everything functional. Ok I'll just drive down and order haven't had long John's in a long time since my experience before they redid the site..it was pretty beat down and kinda gross before and I liked long John's and was looking forward to having one by me again all renewed and clean.....I just haven't tried since so I decided to give it a go already aggravated with the online experience but ok. Drove there and there was a little line ok .......ok.......ok......OK the person behind me had enough and left and I decided to do the same seeing the line that wasn't that long was not moving at ALL! 13 minutes ....Anyways so long to long john silver...long johns ship has sunk... incompetent! Read moreCame through the drive thru 4/6/23 around 7:30pm.. the employees were so extremely rude. the order taker was rude and very impatient.. once at the window No hello, or no thank you whatsoever. She handled me my bag a food then slammed the window shut.. I still had two drinks I didn't get. We sat there for a bit until they opened the window back up and the girl said " we gave you your food you can go now". With such an attitude! I simply said that we were still waiting on our 2 pops. And she rolled her eyes and started laughing at us with the other employees.. once we got our drinks I said thank you have a good night. And she laughed at me and said "yep I will" then slammed the window.. like seriously long john silvers?? I wasn't even a difficult customer or anything so to receive that kind of service was very upsetting.. not to mention our drinks were only half full, I didn't get any sauce packets or silverware that I asked twice for. The fish was very chewy almost like they didn't keep it in the fryer long enough.. I was excited to finally come here and try it for the first time since they reopened. But I won't be coming back. Especially with that kind of customer...
