The worst experience I have ever had anywhere happened tonight at this location. Here is how it unfolded. We placed our order at 7:40pm and got to curbside at 7:47pm. An employee, whe we later learned was the manager, approached the car and asked my wife if she was waiting for anything and she replied she had a curbside order. He went inside. At this point, drive thru was empty and no one else was there for curbside. 45 minutes later my wife, who has an injured knee, called and no one answered so she went inside. The drive thru was now wrapped and multiple customers waiting curbside. She went inside and was ignored. This is very common at this McDonald's. Once she got someone's attention, the only employee that was helpful, grabbed a bag, printed the receipt, confirmed the order and attached the recept to the bag and started to get the order together. Another employee grabbed and threw away the bag. Now the only record of our 16 item order was my wife's phone which they had to take into the back to 4 or 5 times to make sure they got the order right. Bare hands, no washing. 1 employee put the whole order together while those in drive thru and in the dining room were getting served and employees collecting tips. The 1 helpful emoyee agreed, after being asked, to take the food out to the car since it was a large order. The total time spent there was 1 hour and 20 minutes for a curbside order. This is the type of service this place provides.
Now let's talk about the food we waited so long for. The mcdoubles and chicken sandwiches were over cooked but had been sitting for a long time as the meat was cold. The bread for them felt hard like they were stale and one of them was made completely wrong. The fries were cold. Not from the drive home, from sitting there. The drinks were even messed uo as they all were flat. How do you screw uo the drinks?? You have to try to screw uo the food this bad and i feel like this was intentional.
Now lets talk atmosphere. Like the employee who snuck off to the bathroom multiple times but not gone long enough to use the restroom or wash his hands and appeared to be on and using drugs right in the store. Not helping the custonet who had been there for an hour. A team member and their friend felt the need to mock my wife and make her feel uncomfortable. The manager mentioned earlier did nothing the whole time to help or maintain control of his establishment.
How does going to get some dinner for the family go so bad? How has the owner or manager of this place allowed to continue operating a business like this? Maybe McDonald's, as a company no longer cares about the customer experience and just cares about the customer's money. The service was terrible, the food was terrible, the atmosphere was terrible and uncomfortable and I still had to pay full price for absolute garbage. Hopefully there is someone in this company that gives enough of a damn to do something about this. Get it together McDonald's! Your product is not good enough to overcome terrible experiences even when you're product is...
Read moreMy friend & I have been taking our children here for playdates about once a week. We didnt want to review off of one or two visits bc everywhere has an off day, but after today we agreed we wouldnt be bringing our children back here. The roof is leaking into the playscape, there are no outlet covers in the playroom & they are where children can get to them (young children since this playscape also has a toddler area!). The floors are never cleaned & I havent ever saw anyone check there area. I have found bobby pins, pens & other random things on the floor, not to mention the dropped food from the kids is left & not bothered to be cleaned up at any point in the times Ive been theren which means you will more so even be attempting to stop your toddler from grabbing other ppls food off the floor, thats been there for hours. The ketchup machines never work, when you ask for packets, like today, I asked for more & tge worker just walked away. I asked the manager & got an attitude from her about it (i was given 4 ketchup packets for a large fry, I only wanted 4-5 more & usually I'll just purchase hot mustard so I avoid the attitudes.) My friend recieved apples that were going bad for her son & when they exchanged them & opened the bag you could tell they werent right either (that fermenting smell). I have had to inform them they had fruit flies crawling on their muffin display & they only took the ones out they saw them on (common sense tells you they were or could have been on all of them the way the display is & the size of the fruit flies.). The ice machine was also broken today, yesterday waiting for my food, they gave a guy his 2 mcdoubles who ordered after me & that was the only thing left they were waiting on for my order (they did give me a chocolate milkshake to make up for it & I told them I wouldnt have even been upset if the guy who ordered after me was getting something different (different ppl make different things or they could of been waiting for certain size burgers, but that was exactly what they were waiting for for my order.). My friend talked to the manager about some of the issues & she threw her employees under the bus saying they were scraping the bottom of the barrel for employment. If that's the manager's attitude, its no wonder why the team has low moral & no expectations. After having been here more than several times, I'd say it would be a fair assessment to say this mcdonalds is not a safe place for your children to play (the seats on the chairs even fall off of them when you or your child tries to get themselves on them!), its not clean & your treatment, especially by the managers is abhorrent. We have already decided on another place to take our weekly business to & Im personally considering not returning to any mcdonalds (there is another one in Taylor on Ecorse we occassionally went to & while a bit better not much, a lot of the same issues & the playscape isnt intended for toddlers so it really isnt...
Read moreWish I could give it no stars; the past three trips I have made here have been complete nightmares.
First trip the drive through line was at a completely stand still for almost 20 minutes, I never received my food because I had to hurry and clock back in for work. Second trip, I ordered a double quarter pounder meal and besides having to pull off and wait for my food for an additional 10 minutes, they brought the wrong order and cold fries. Again, running late to clock back into work, I just took the order and left. NOW I placed an order with only 2 cars in front of me and STILL had to pull off and wait almost 15 minutes for my order (quarter pounder meal). AND THEN THEY DON'T EVEN REMEMBER TO BRING ME MY DRINK WHEN THEY BROUGHT MY FOOD OUT!
Do yourself a favor and avoid this particular McDonald's; it has been this way for almost 2 years since I started working near by.
EDIT Fastforward almost a year and out of desperation (due to COVID concerns at the hospital) I ran to McDonald's against my best judgement to try and grab lunch quickly so I could return to my job at the hospital. Not only did I have to wait 20 minutes in the drive through, again, but when I finally received my order and unwrapped it back at the hospital, they left the paper on the burger of my quarter pounder, put all the toppings ON THE PAPER, and then sent it out to me. It looked like they did it on purpose, how do you not see a giant piece of parchment paper on a sandwich AND THEN CONTINUE TO PUT CHEESE, MUSTARD, KETCHUP AND PICKLES ON THE PAPER, THEN SLAP THE TOP BUN ON IT?!?! Pathetic, disgusting and out right unbelieveable in a time where contamination risks are everywhere, yet you have employees oblivious to prepping and making your food to check for a piece of paper on your burger? I doubt they even wash their hands as not a single employee handling money or handing food out the window was even wear gloves.
I swear to god I will never, ever return to...
