Overall it was a pretty good experience. I love the atmosphere and ambience. The building and decorations are nice. Its fun that each chandelier lighting is unique though fits to the rest of the decor. We came to celebrate a high school graduation. We arrived shortly after their opening and came without a reservation for a party of 8 they were able to seat us quickly though its probably best to make a reservation when possible. We overheard that they accept so many reservations each day and then save tables for walkins as well. The lobby is spacious and welcoming. We were sat quickly and our waiter, Eric, was friendly and quick to greet us. He got our drink orders and some appetizers of Spinach Artichoke dip and Sicilian Garlic Cheesebread. I just got water though the other people at our table got Strawberry lemonades and fountain sodas. The server kept all of our drinks topped off. He replaced many lemonades quickly and kept my water full despite my tenacity to drain them quickly. We then ordered and shortly after food started to arrive. Our meals came with the choice of salad or soup. I chose the salad it was fresh and good however I would prefer more ranch. It also wasn't spun out very well so it was kind of watery and it made it lose some of its crunch. It had greens, cabbage, and carrots. My wife got the Minestrone soup. She liked it decently. We then got our entrees I ordered the Lobster and Crab Ravioli and my wife ordered the Garlic Shrimp Alfredo. We both really liked our food they had good flavors and the raviolis had a surprisingly good pesto sauce. It came with 6 raviolis with which everything makes a balanced meal that is a good portion but not super filling. The one complaint I had was a noticed little crunches in 3 of the raviolis that was slightly bigger than salt but smaller than sand. I think they might be pieces of shell. In one bite I pulled out a piece of I think the joints or crab cartilage which wasn't so fun. But the raviolis were good despite this. My wife's pasta was really good and we liked the shrimp and sauce. To end the meal we had Spumoni ice cream the meal also includes your choice of a scoop of that or vanilla ice cream. Spumoni is pistachio, chocolate, and cherry. My wife loves it, and thinks it's a better Neapolitan. I liked the chocolate it was very rich, the cherry was pretty faint, and pistachio even fainter which I was fine with because I don't care for it much. The texture was creamy. All in all it was a pretty good meal and had...
Read moreWent for a birthday dinner and was taken upstairs. From the first word, we knew it would be a long meal. Our server couldn't possibly have been less interested or more short with us.
She dished out drinks and plates from one end of the table meaning I had to serve our end. She was reaching over people to hand out food...
The ceaser salad upgrade was such a waste of money - it was all the white ends of the romaine and every single bit was watery; we could hardly taste the dressing because it was watered down and VERY sparse and while we were still eating, she came by trying to take plates from everyone.
I never did get a water refill (neither did two others) while my other daughter in law was brought a soda refill when barely a 1/4 of her soda was gone. The main course came out 5 minutes after our salads and one soup (which she also teied to take), and it was extremely disappointing. We all thought it tasted frozen and reheated, the clam sauce dish was so dry and lacking in any type of sauce that it was completely inedible. Seriously, no sauce. I couldn't taste clams. Why didn't I take pics?!
My husband enjoyed the lasagna, it had flavor, while my daughter in laws ravioli tasted like a bag of frozen store ravioli with classico marinara sauce. My father said the same for his mushroom sauce which consisted of a few cold mushrooms on top of the sauce. I had to go scrounge up some cheese off of another table.
My son and his gf had some shrimp thing that was dry and tasteless.
She then brought the check to my end of the table, first time she made it there, then came around a few minutes later as if trying to collect it while we all were still trying to eat. To top it all off, a huge birthday party came upstairs and it was just way too much.
Had this been our first time I would never be back; as it is we may not simply because it was so disappointing; especially the service. Well, really, all of it...
Is hot food too much to ask for? 100 bucks (for 4 of us, while 3 others, with tip, were up over 70 bucks) wasted, we left hungry, leftovers went into the trash.
Honestly, the more I think about it, the more pissed I get. No, it was not brought up to management as we are not confrontational people and didn't want to to appear as if we were trying to get anything free. It was, truly, a terrible experience. Keep that in mind when you go. Other complaints mention the quality of the food and the quantity...
Read moreThe chairs at our reserved table were disgusting and had food splatter all over them; (I would hope if we reserve a table time would be taken to make sure it's clean for us ahead of time at least) & when I had asked Tessa, our waitress, for help with taking the chair to be cleaned (she seemed almost annoyed I had even asked her to) I was grabbing a new one and she close to yelled at me to not steal chairs from other tables.
I've worked in food service many years and I totally understand the rules of chairs needing to be at their certain tables, but the way she decided to let me know was not the way to go about it and not professional in the slightest.
It has made me not want to order from her AT ALL because of that unfriendly/unprofessional tone she took, and I also had to request of her to stop touching me after I moved my chair in closer away from her the first time she touched me.
I did in fact not order the whole meal, except for to-go food, and I had someone else ask her because I just didn't want to talk to her anymore at all.
When our table ordered drinks she forgot a couple and who they were for, also the same with our food. The food was not as good as we remembered from August of last year, the food my mother had was meatballs & sauce were bland, the noodles were sticky and the portion sizes were sometimes abysmal. The bread also was almost doughy and VERY hard to slice, fell apart and ripped.
We also asked for bread and Tessa forgot about that as well until after she had seated a couple other tables. The ice cream lastly she also seemed to space who had ordered which flavors and we had to repeat it multiple times to her.
I went to the bathrooms and they were also pretty gross, there was feces and urine on the seats. You would think on a Saturday night they would have extra upkeep of cleaning from high volume...
