Wendy's — Restaurant in Tazewell

On Wednesday 10/23/2024 i went to the counter at Wendy's fast food restaurant in Tazewell, TN & ordered 3 vanillas and 1 chocolate Frostys, all size Lg to go with a car carrier. I paid $13.07 with my debit card.

Then I was told that the vanilla machine was frozen and wouldn't dispense. I reluctantly agreed to accept all 4 with chocolate. Then they couldn't get the chocolate side to work.

The young girl that had taken my payment and had worked feverishly to make my order happen had been sweet and had delivered an abundance of customer service. I don't believe that anything that occurred after her best endevored efforts were in anyway caused by her. In fact, it is my oppinion that this Wendy's should promote her to manager and terminate the bad managers.

I explained that I had meat in the car from the grocery store and needed to get it home. And I then I asked for a refund. The horror that I saw on this young girls face was priceless as she meekly and embarrassingly explained that they can't do refunds.

I figured that maybe she just didn't have the authority to process a refund. So I calmly asked for a manager.

After explaining the circumstances to the young manager he also refused my refund saying that Wendy's didn't do refunds. I was getting irritated by now and was preparing to exchange some words with this man whom didn't seem to understand that I had paid for something that they were not delivering and simply wanted my money back.

Before I could say anything further, he turned and went to the end of the counter where another older lady was standing and began explaining to her what had happened with my order which they had been unable to fill. It seemed to me that this older lady must have been the top manager, for the moment anyway. Then he told her that I had asked for a refund.

Without skipping a beat, this woman immediately turned her head towards me, looked me square in the eyes, and coldly growled out, "We don't do refunds." No I'm sorry; no how can we make this right; no sentiment of compassion for me not being able to get the product that they took my money for; no nothing. Just a cold glaring stare that to me suggested that I had better not challenge her decision.

Calmly, I stared back at her and asked, "Do I need to call the Sheriff's Department to get my money back?"

Again, without skipping a beat, withe her uncompromising glare she said, "You do what you gotta do."

In my mind, she was letting me know that they had just STOLEN my $13.07 and had no intentions of returning it to my debit card.

I reached into my pocket to pull out my cell phone so that I could place a call to the Sheriff's Office. I then realized that I hadn't brought my phone in with me. I turned and left heading to my automobile. Along the way to my car I decided that I should first try to exhaust all possible remedies before calling the Sheriff's Department by first contacting Wendy's corporate customer service.

That turned out to be a bigger fiasco than the drama in the store. More on that call at sometime in the future.

Myself and my neighbor, who was waiting in my car during this refusal to return my money, have easily spent more than $200.00 over the last year at this particular Wendy's. Multiply that be 10 years and that would be $2,000.00 that this Wendy's will no longer collect from me as the coming 10 years travels down the road.

Is it just me thinking that this is just plain stupid? All so that Wendy's can show a greater profit of $13.07 that they took and delivered nothing causing them to then loose a bunch of money over time.

It is my hope that everyone will boycot this Wendy's until they are forced to close their doors for good. They might not be forced into bankruptcy, but it's still my hope.

Put this in your thieving greedy peace pipe and smoke it Wendy's

Went there twice every time my husband and I went through the drive through. same girl she was rude the last time we went they were supposed to be having a sale going on the Dave singles hamburgers. they costed use $24 for 4 Dave singles supposed to be only 3 dollars a piece. that would only cost $12 plus tax maybe $13. my husband asked the girl politely about the deal we thought they still had going showed on the window. she was rude twice to use it was the way she said no in a rude way. instead of saying I'm sorry we don't have that deal going anymore. she was rude it was around the 3rd or 4th day of October 2023 after 12:00. I will not be going there anymore do to The rudeness and price gouging. Always be polite to people not good for business. if you're rude to your customers and robbing your customers. You will lose business. those of you talking good about this Wendy's in new Tazewell. eather you work there or have a family member working there. this place is horrible I don't like talking bad about any restaurants. but between getting robbed twice and the first time. when I got the Chilli cheese fries that was dry. and then a month after getting the Dave singles. worst ever not going anymore I'd rather go to MicDonald's. Middlesbro Wendy's is amazing but this Wendy's in new Tazewell...

This is my 3rd time eating here I went inside on a Thursday bout 8:30 p.m. I ordered the 4⃣ for $4 which consisted of 4 chicken nuggets, fries 🍟 & a soft drink cost come to under $5. The cashier Tracy took my order. After about 10 minutes food was ready. chicken nuggets & 🍟 fresh. My complaint is- once I begin eating the cheeseburger the top bun come completely apart soggy. Almost as if wet? Yuck! So, I hope next time it is a five-star review again. It just seemed like I think they may need more employees? Thank you to the kind employees who are there & are hard-working. You are appreciated. UPDATE: MY 4th time here! I ate inside around noon on a Saturday. It did take longer than usual to be waited on. But, I think worker was in training. Not sure? Didn't have to wait but maybe 5 minutes to get the food this time. I got 4 for $5. Comes with 4 chicken nuggets & fries 🍟& soft drink, & your choice between, Jr bacon cheeseburger, fried chicken blt burger, or double cheeseburger. I chose the chicken blt. I didn't know it came with CHEESE on it. I didn't like that at all. So, All in all Wendy's Improved to 4 stars this time in my opinion. Thanks to all the hard workers! You are...
