They do NOT have any gluten free options at the moment, and I'm skeptical if they will have any in the future. Some of their items can be made gluten free but if you are celiac, they cannot guarantee GF items.
The do NOT have any vegan options unless you order the hash browns or bread. With such a large menu, you'd think they would have a tofu scramble of some kind.
That being said, I ordered the California bowl, but it came with cheese. It didn't say it came with cheese on the menu, but I didn't send it back. It was pretty good. I'd like more avocado on it though.
I also ordered the maple sweet potatoes and they were significantly undercooked. I asked if I could get the sweet potato fries instead and those were standard frozen sweet potato fries. Good but nothing to scream about. I like that they have that option.
My kids ordered the kids burger and chicken tenders. Nothing to rave about. The burger did come on a nice looking bun though. The chicken fingers and fries were standard frozen, just throw in the fryer kind.
One major highlight was their salt and pepper shakers. They are free flowing, so if you don't like salt, shake lightly. If you do like salt, go all out!
One comment about their coffee is that the larger mugs make the coffee colder faster and the larger opening allows for more stuff to fall in.
I do like that they offer wifi.
Their take-away items are standard. I wish their rice cereal treats were GF, but I doubt it. They do offer the original flavor and a chocolate flavor for those that can indulge.
As far as their prices, they are decent.
The service was pretty good, considering that I went on their opening day around 11am. When we arrived, there was a long line, but the wait time wasn't too bad. The time it took for the food to come out wasn't bad, but they did mess up a couple of our orders.
There's a charm to this little diner, and it would be nice if the servers had name tags.
I am hoping they can get on board with the allergy friendly options. Those who have allergies would greatly appreciate it,...
Read moreComical! Our waitress was having the most difficult time just getting our coffee order into the electronic handheld order taker. She had to go for help 4 different times. Finally got our coffee order in, then we ordered our food. She forgot to get my son’s order. We had to remind her that she forgot him. Food came out BEFORE we even got our coffees! First time in my 62 years that I was served my food before the coffee was served! Looked at a different table and the waitress was taking their order with a pen and paper. I thought to myself, our waitress should have used pen and paper, she would have had our order written down in two minutes instead of 9 minutes. A different waitress (who didn’t work there and was just helping them out that morning) brought our food out, but had no idea what was on one plate. It was sausage and gravy over biscuits with two eggs over medium. Our waitress forgot to enter bacon for my one son’s order. Sausage and biscuits with two eggs over medium had next to no taste. Probably the worst sausage and biscuits I’ve ever had. My son had also ordered sourdough toast and they brought out white bread toast. They had just ran out of sour bread toast but didn’t offer him an option. It was more or less… here’s your white bread toast, sorry!!! Wasn’t five minutes later I overheard another waitress at another table giving the people a list of toasts that were available. I heard her say sourdough. Why are you still offering sourdough when you are OUT. Just WOW! You’ve...
Read moreI’ll start by saying this restaurant is VERY cute, has some crazy fun decorations and gives you a cozy old timey feel.
3 of us stopped in around brunch time on a Saturday morning. We expected the wait and for it to be busy. No surprise there. We waited for maybe around 20-30 minutes before getting a table.
However, our waitress took our drink order, we all ordered iced coffees off the special Harry Potter themed menu. They were brought out to us, and we put in our food order. We did not see our waitress again for quite a while. No waters were brought to us, which was plenty needed.
When our food arrived, it wasn’t anything spectacular. I was really looking forward to the pancakes, but they were kinda blah. Not much flavor. The biscuits for the biscuits and gravy were a bit too flour-ey for my liking and the gravy had a sweet flavor to it, which threw me off.
Cinnamon roll was ordered. Was good, but not worth the $8 that it costs.
My friends who were with me said their food wasn’t bad, but wasn’t great either.
I’m sure it was a busy day and maybe just a fluke in the food. But this was our first time eating there.
The family next to us though sounded like they were regulars on coming in on the weekends, so I’m sure there are some...
