Visiting tehachapi this past weekend while attending a wedding. I had a craving for a quesadilla and headed over to del taco. Sadly DEL TACO was proudly displaying a "B" 🤮 that was given to them by the health department.
Did a quick Google search, and discovered Taco Samich ( they proudly display an "A" 😀 ).
Restaurant appeared clean, prices were reasonable, and although overcooked my quesadilla was tasty.
There was a limitation on the amount of salsa that you are allowed to consume. One small side cup for a taco, 2 for a burrito. I'm not one to waste food including salsa, but I like a lot of salsa/hot sauce on my food. I found this kind of odd and the first time I've ever noticed it in a Mexican restaurant. I could have forked out another 50 cents for another small side cup, but chose to use the one that came with my order...

Ordered the chicken hot cheeto burrito and got really bad food poisoning that lasted 2 full days. I recently decided to try them again since it’s been about 1 1/2 years. I ordered the taquitos. They even throw in spicy red pepper and mexican oregino for your Menudo if you want to add it. Plenty of onion and cilantro with yr choice of meat on 2 tacoes at a very resonable price. Ben in Tahachapi for around a month and finaly found a slice of home after a month of a sinus infection due to the high altitude in Tahachapi and the year round flora or pollen in the areah.
