Overcharged: This is the first time that I visited this restaurant. I had a party of 4 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 3. The atmosphere was fine and the restaurant was clean. We ordered various items, primarily ramen. The soup broth and noodles were great in the shoyu ramen. The soft-boiled egg was really tasty. I think they saute the bamboo in butter and garlic - also tasty. A bowl of ramen here costs between $16 & $20. But here is where I want to caution folks. They charged us an automatic 18% gratuity for our party of 6. That gratuity is taxed. Although Temecula's sales tax rate is 8.75%, somehow, they are calculating it as 10.25% sales tax. No matter how many times I tried to apply the math, the numbers just didn't add up and I was overcharged between $.60 to $2.60 depending on how and what tax rate was calculated. I am letting people know this because I was really caught off guard and downright shocked at the 10.25% sales tax rate being applied. I was also surprised that they charged the 18% gratuity counting the 3-year-old and also given that they did not get the order correct for 2 people in our party. So while the food was not bad, I don't see myself visiting this place again anytime soon. By the way, they use Toast as their POS and said that Toast calculates the tax rate for them and I saw several others post on Reddit about the overcharging they've experienced in other establishments using Toast as their POS system. Maybe it's an issue with Toast, but now I am aware and will be keeping an eye open for this practice...
Read moreCame in for the Naruto event which was fun. I didn't like the rigidity of the combo. There are only two options a headband and shirt and of course the headband was out despite me calling ahead and being told it was available. They have other merch which I'm confused as to why you can't just pick what you want and try the Naruto ramen? The food was ok honestly. The fried gyoza I was excited for and it fell flat. It just felt like a wonton with unseasoned meat and didn't have notes of ginger or anything else you would expect when you bite into a gyoza. Chicken karaage was pale and looked completely different from the menu picture. Then the ramen was also a bit disappointing. It was just ok at best and the seasoned egg which is my favorite part of the ramen wasn't seasoned. Just a hard boiled egg on the side. The place was also not very kid friendly. No booster seats, just a high chair and the high chair didn't fit with the booth table. So my child was spilling his food all night because the place isn't made with toddlers in mind. There's no kids menu either. I really wanted to like this place because of the event but the experience was disappointing. The atmosphere and staff are cool and I love that they do events like this. I would give it another try before it ends and see if the experience...
Read moreIf you’re a ramen lover, Silverlakes Ramen in Temecula Promenade Mall is a must-visit! My wife and I have become dedicated regulars since this gem opened, initially stopping by every other week and now making it a monthly tradition. Since discovering it, no other ramen spot compares!
The service here is exceptional, and we always feel welcomed like family. Daniel, our first waiter, greeted us warmly on our initial visit and has looked after us ever since. He’s incredibly thoughtful—especially during the warmer months when he makes sure we’re seated away from the bright, hot sun. Chatting with Daniel is always a highlight, and he consistently goes above and beyond to make us feel at home.
Our favorites? I love the Blaze ramen with chicken, paired with their delicious gyoza. My wife’s go-to is the Classic with tofu. Everything here is perfectly seasoned, and even the water has this refreshing taste that’s hard to beat! The convenience of charging our Tesla while indulging in a ramen fix makes the experience even better. I drop my wife off, park, and by the time I arrive, our food is ready to enjoy.
Silverlakes Ramen has elevated our ramen standards, and we can’t recommend it enough. A fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys high-quality ramen and...
