I took a watch in that another establishment replaced a battery in. The watch hands were totally out of place and the previous establishment said I’d have to take it to a jeweler to repair it. Fast-Fix looked at it and couldn’t believe how bad it was. They were honest and told me they would do their best to fix it, but didn’t know for sure until they started working on it. Well they did fix it and it’s as good as new. When I picked the watch up I asked about a cross that I had. I bought the cross at a native jewelry store in Sedona. It was made of gold and silver. Another jeweler had told me that the silver part was really stainless steel. It had turned black and Fast-Fix asked me if I wore it in a pool or spa because chlorine will turn silver black. I told them that another jeweler had told me it was stainless steel and Fast-Fix said no that it really was silver and showed me why. Not only were they able to get the black off but it was as shiny as when I first bought it. I would highly recommend Fast-Fix because of their knowledge, honesty and...
Read moreCross reviewed on Yelp. I would rate a 0 if possible. Thank goodness I didn’t have them permanently re-size my ring. I brought in my 2 day-old brand new engagement ring (natural diamond stones, 18k gold) for a temporary sizer. They didn’t have the rubber guards I was looking for, but offered to install a metal piece insert that wraps around the ring.
I was told the piece was “gold plated,” NOT that it was steel, which immediately carved into my ring (18k gold is softer and more delicate) Not only can you see small scratches throughout, but you can FEEL dents where it was actually carved in a few spots.
We were unhappy and asked to have it removed. The curt woman helping us simply said “it’s going to get scratched” and “no refunds.” So for a $24 piece of metal, they ruined a multi-thousands beautiful new ring.
The “it’s going to get scratched” comment is absurd. I’m not paying someone else to damage my ring. Also, I have plenty of heirloom gold rings that aren’t scratched and dented, because I take...
Read moreI have gone here on a few occasions and have always had a good experience. I bought myself a "nicer" watch, nothing too fancy, but still gold. Originally went in as the watch I ordered online arrived a bit too small for my wrist, and even though it was a "no name" brand watch, they still found links that looked almost EXACTLY like the original, and put them by the clasp so you would never even know unless you closely inspected the watch. Only took a few days for them to accomplish this.
A couple years later that same "no name" watch battery went dead, they were able to replace the battery, and I got the watch back "cleaned up" - It looked just like new! I was very impressed.
My girlfriend treated me my last birthday by getting me a Michael Kors watch, but as usual, it's a little tight around the wrist. (I'm a bigger guy), and I will be returning here to have them add links to my new, "real" gold watch. They are the only one's I trust as I have had bad...
