PRESS "EX" PRESSO ("ex" because it was like a girlfriend that I no longer see). It’s a perfect material for my next screenplay. BASED ON THE TRUE STORY. Let's begin. The cashier who notified me that I’m banned is the very same one who did not wash her hands before preparing my avocado toast 6 months ago. I understand sometimes they are busy. But at that time they did not have gloves for a month or so. They always put one glove on their left hand to keep the toast steady or to load mini tomatoes on the top of the bread. This time, white, chubby lady, who likes to dress as a man for Halloween (which is fine; I just do not know her name, so you now you know who she is when you meet her), did not wash her hands, touched everything around, and then bread and tomatoes for my sandwich. Then she argued she used tongs. Yes, I agree, the toast was super hot, so she used tongs. Then she was making my food with dirty hands. “What’s a big deal?” you might say. Now you have a tons of bad bacteria on your food. It goes to your system, and then you ask yourself why your throat hurts, why you have a cold, the flu, etc. The 2nd time I went to the Winchester location. There was a new, nice lady by the register. I asked for my custom drink, like I have for the last 2-3 years. She did not put all the info right. So when I picked it up, the taste was too much. Too sugary, they put syrup in it. I asked to make a new one. Then another worker, skinny black lady, answered, “Maybe next time you should tell how you want it.” This fact pissed me off a little. I know exactly what I ordered; it’s just that the new lady does not know which button to push on her device. It was 3 months ago. When was I banned from Press? Just after I told to white skinny red head worker that I have a beef with a lady inside awhile ago and I will not order my drink in this location, I went somewhere else. The white redhead skinny worker told that to the skinny Black worker, and they notified the owners to ban me. Three people should not be a face of this company. The rest of the team are amazing people, hard workers, and absolutely great souls. Oh, I did not mention one more thing. It was painful to watch them preparing these avocado toasts with no gloves. So I went to the store and I purchased 5000 gloves and left at Murrieta Place. Do you think anybody notified the owner about it?...
Read more3 people all within the same group came in waiting in line after the barista had already started making my drink. Nobody seemed to be in a hurry or upset and there really wasn’t even much of a wait since I was the only drink that had been ordered before those 3 people walked in. The barista pulled the shots for my drink and then walked away to take orders while my shots were just sitting on the counter. She then started heating up pastries for those people and even went to the back to answer the phone. Meanwhile my shots are just dying on the counter. Very inconsistent drinks. Why wasn’t that barista able to just finish the drink before doing other things? You don’t pull shots and let them sit for 6 min. . I’m in no rush I just don’t want my coffee tasting terrible. 2 other baristas came in around 9:45 and they all looked like teenagers who just rolled out of bed wearing pajama sweats with greasy messy hair. I’m so disappointed at the lack of consistency/quality put into the drinks. Felt like I was at a run down Dutch Bros. I remember being a teenager working at a coffee shop & nobody ever came in wearing pajamas or looking unhygienic. I also feel like none of those girls know anything about coffee or how to make basic drinks. Everything was overly sweet/ lack luster and careless. Also, nothing was hot not even the frozen center of the cruffin I ordered. Yuck. Just messy and not clean.
RESPONSE TO OWNER: The location was Winchester Rd. And time was about 9:15-9:30 AM...
Read moreNo online ordering. No phone orders weekends. So I drove in.
4 people were in the shop and 2 women (together) were in line when I showed up. I came to buy 6 coffees for bridesmaids today as we get hair done and ready for a wedding. I was told there is a limit to 2 drinks per order so the ticket doesn't get too long. I was told I could order 2 drinks, then go to the back of any line that formed to get the next two, etc. She said if there's no line, then I could order the last 4 together. Thats how it went. No line, no additional customers, so placed my last 4 after letting one man that walked up order.
I waited and the drinks came out. After all 6 came out this barista told me I cannot order more than 2 drinks on the weekend period. That I would need to bring more people with me to get more. I let her know what the gal taking orders told me and I followed that. She said there'd be no point in having a 2 drink policy if I was simply allowed to get back in line. I told her The Press was the coffee of choice for the special wedding day as the girls got ready. Her response: "everyone has their reasons," and walked away. She did get me 2 drinks carriers once she came back which was kind. But when I left, there was no one in line and no one sitting with drinks. They would rather have an empty store than let me buy coffee at their coffee shop...
By the way, they told me it's was told accommodate the weekend rush. They dont even have a line... Wonder why
Ill never come back to...
