My family and I have been going to this location nearly once a week since day two of its reopening over a year ago. We usually go on weekday mornings when it’s almost deserted, so I am probably receiving a different experience than others who go at peak hours. Here’s my honest observation and I hope management takes it to heart to help improve this location.
Extremely nice employees. I have not a bad thing to say about them and my one-on-one encounters have always been pleasant. However, there is rarely a manager (not supervisor or shift lead - MANAGER) visible on the premises directing them what to do. These are high school or just out of high school kids who might be working a first job. Give them some direction and a purpose. They want to work and it’s a waste of payroll if you don’t utilize them to their full potential. Keep them busy and happy!
Equipment maintenance. This is probably the worse of it all. Everything is falling apart (or just needs some daily upkeep) and there is no effort to keep things inflated properly, which truly astounds me. That should be an every morning task followed by multiple rounds of inspection throughout the day. The manpower to do it is right in front of your face and are bored out of their minds. Not only are you telling your customers you don’t care, you’re inviting yourself to a lawsuit for negligence over safety equipment not being properly maintained. That’s on you, and no liability waiver will save you from your end of the responsibility.
Invest into things like extra dodgeballs and other sports balls so you have a stockpile for when they need to be replaced. It’s a basic cost of doing business. I said dodgeballs specifically because that’s probably the area where it’s needed the most. We went multiple weeks in a row where they were almost non-existent.
I say all of this as a bit of a plea to just make some effort to do better. It really won’t take much for a noticeable improvement. Otherwise, and this is directly aimed at management, why are you still here? Make me want to give you a 5 star review.
UPDATE 01/22/25:
Management I think really took this to heart and everything I mentioned is beginning to improve. It’s a good start! Keep it up!
UPDATE 03/15/25
Well, that was short lived. Somehow it was one step forward and two steps back. There has been broken equipment for MONTHS, and now some that has become missing entirely. Maybe it's out for repair? The one positive is they managed to fix and repaint the giant dent in the drywall by the dodge ball court, but the fact that the end barriers were mostly deflated on our latest visit totally negated that bit of improvement. The electronic wall has been closed for a while because? No balls? Doesn't work? By the trampoline area it's starting to look dingy as the window decals are falling off (or are being removed) one by one. Half of the cycling game is non-functional. We are members so the monthly fee is mostly irrelevant if we go a couple times, but for a single visit it is MASSIVELY overpriced for what you are getting which is becoming less and less as time goes on.
I'm knocking off a star because the effort has not been kept up. The only reason we keep going back is because my son is on the spectrum and enjoys being here. However, even HE has noticed the equipment that's missing and was very unhappy he wasn't able to go into the electronic wall area. As always, this is no knock on the employees I've had pleasant interactions with since day one (thanks Londyn!). Management needs to get their...
Read moreThe only reason I’m giving a 2 star review is because of Tanner who was the employee that helped us when we were in the party room.
I booked an Epic birthday party. I was forced to book 2 rooms because the max it would let me do was 10 jumpers per room. I booked the time slots for 2:15 and 2:30 because that’s how they said I had to book it.
I arrived and the check-in line for birthday parties was majorly long. By the time my party was fully checked in, it was 2:40pm which cut into the jumping time. There was another lady who was trying cut in front and get her party wristbands because their jump time was coming up, but they hadn’t finished checking my party in, so it made the process even longer. It was very unorganized. They didnt even have the cart so we could place birthday gifts on for the kids. They brought it out about 10-15 minutes after I told them theirs wasn’t there.
They cut the jumping time at around 3:10. Our card said our room was going to be from 3:15-4:15, but when we were gathered I was told that the room wasn’t going to be fully opened until 3:30pm. So that was an additional 20 minutes they cut from total jumping time.
When I complained to the manager, I was only offered a 10% refund and 10 jumping passes for the inconvenience. That they couldn’t let the jumpers go back and jump because of capacity issues. Yet, people just coming in to jump can pay and jump. Not to mention there was a kid in the dodge ball area that had been there for hours on end.
Oh, they also said I was over by 3 jumpers and wanted to charge me for it (they didn’t because of the issues we were having). But I recounted my jumpers and I was actually down by 3. Luckily, I didnt have to pay for the extra anyway, but yeah. Idk who they gave wristbands to that weren’t part of my party.. but they did and wanted to charge me more.
After this experience, I would never book a party there again.
I paid $783 dollars. And the 4 pizzas that are part of the package were Little Caesars. The pizza they make there tastes better.
So if you’re looking to book a party here, don’t. I heard Mulligans is cheaper and you get more for the...
Read moreOn two separate occasions, the team members at Sky Zone have truly gone above and beyond, providing an exceptional experience for my family.
As a parent of a 6-year-old child with ASD, navigating busy places like Sky Zone can often be challenging. However, the patience, understanding, and professionalism of the staff have made all the difference.
During our first visit, my son wanted to slide on the single orange slide. Due to safety regulations, children typically aren’t allowed to slide alone unless they meet certain criteria. After explaining our situation to a team member, she graciously allowed me to accompany him. This small but meaningful act avoided what could have been a very upsetting moment for my son, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
On another occasion, while we were enjoying the trampoline area, a group of kids started screaming loudly for no apparent reason, creating a stressful environment. A concerned child brought this to the attention of a team member, and the situation was immediately addressed. The quick and effective response ensured that everyone could continue enjoying their time in peace.
The kindness, attentiveness, and professionalism of the Sky Zone team members deserve a standing ovation. They’ve truly earned a 5-star rating from me for their outstanding efforts. Thank you for creating an inclusive and enjoyable experience for...
