DO NOT GO TO THIS TEMPE LOCATION! I really hope other locations arenāt as bad as this one** If I could give a worse rating, I would. Not only did the worker make me and my 5 yr old wait 15 mins (prob longer) before he even took our order (no there wasnāt anyone in front of us), he also gave 4 customers who ended up coming in way after us their orders before even getting to ours.
He was taking so long to even get to our order after finally taking it, that I had to step out to tell my older kids to get out of our van with my younger ones (5 of them were in the van, because I didnāt think it was gonna take that long) because even tho itās still winter, it was a lot warmer today.
Anyway, so Iām walking back into the shop with all 6 of my kids now, I could obviously tell the 4 customers who came in after me to order, had all gotten their orders, no one else was in line, and this same worker greets me again as if he didnāt remember me. Long story short, I was past nice and patient at this point, I asked him if my order was done and he tells me āoh I didnāt know where you went so I gave your order to the women behind youā of course Iām pissed. So I asked for a refund, he refused to give me a refund and said heād remake our order. His excuse was it was already being remade so he couldnāt refund me, but I was so frustrated at this point and just wanted to get out of there cuz my 2 younger ones who are toddlers were so fussy, and before I could say anything else the worker had already walked to the back which I felt was so rude!
I wish I got this workers name, but if a manager reads this comment, whoever was working today, Friday, Feb 7th around the time 2pm, younger dude maybe late 20ās early 30ās, you guys can thank him for the reason why Iām letting everyone I know to not go to your Tempe location and how we just experienced the worst service ever! I hope this review helps...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had been waiting impatiently for this location to open up since last year I believe. Iām excited itās finally open.
The interior is cool š with some iconic movie characters holding boba drinks. The music playing was nostalgic and upbeat which helped with the experience.
Upon entering, you see the gelato options which all looked yummy. I ended up trying a sample of one of them even though I came in for boba.
I ended up learning they are coming out of their soft opening phase and didnāt have all of the flavors available yet. I ended up trying a flavor that was new to me, lemon kumquat. It tasted a lot like lemonade and caused me to pucker a bit. It was refreshing and a welcomed change from my usual flavors though.
I thought the size options and overall prices were good as well. We did learn the smoothie type blends were more expensive than we thought we saw. About $8 total. Had we known that, I think my boyfriend would have gotten a different drink. It was also too much drink for him lol.
For my clear tea, the price and size was great. My only slight issue was I asked for very little ice but got a half cup full of ice. Next time I will ask for literally 6-8 ice cubes. I can help make my next order better as a customer. The only other recommendation is more boba for the large cup size to compensate for the visual ratio of tea to boba.
I thought the menu boards and the treats offered were fun and colorful. The team was also friendly and welcoming as well. I didnāt want to mention anything that would cause them to recreate a drink.
I hope this location thrives and is around for a long time. They seem like really nice people who care a lot about the craft...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is not authentic Boba, so if that's what you're looking for keep on looking. My #1 gripe is that I ordered my drink to be 0% sugar and it absolutely was NOT. Based on what I saw, it looks like they just mix some kinda powder in with milk for milk tea and then they add a sugar filled flavor syrup for whatever flavor you ask for. Where the 0% sugar comes in to play I do not know, but I'm guessing maybe that's some kinda additional sugar they would add after the powder and syrup?
On top of that, the traditional Boba balls were heavy and clay like, they did not have the usual jelly texture you would expect. They were gross.
I walked out paying over $9 for a large drink which included a tip and "technology fee" for using my card. That's way too much especially considering I didn't even get what was advertised.
If a person was diabetic or had any kind of medical restrictions on how much sugar they can have, this place would be so deceiving and could actually cause real harm. Why even offer 0% sugar as an option if it's not actually an option? It's irresponsible on the stores part.
I got this drink just before closing and so I left immediately and did not discover these disappointments until it was too late to do anything about it. All I can do is leave this review here in hopes it might help others.
Besides that the server was nice, it's probably not his fault at all that this is the way things are set up.
I would...
