The bagel sandwich preparation staff at Einstein Bros Bagels location at: 6350 S McClintock Dr #102, Tempe, AZ 85283 are woefully incompetent.
Twice now in a row my take out order of an everything bagel sandwich with lox, onion and chive shmear, light on the shmear has been prepared incorrectly. The first order I received was prepared heavy with plain smear but at least it had lox. Today my wife came back to the office with a bagel sandwich, heavy on the shmear and two tomatoes...NO LOX.
I am disinclined to leave the office, drive 10 minutes back to your McClintock and Guadeloupe location and ask for a correctly prepared replacement order...I have already been through that discomforting process the first time the order was incorrectly prepared.
Want to know how that experience went? Aside from the inconvenience of having to drive all the way back to the store, once I did arrive, first I was ignored by the preparer, then I was given a sneering attitude when what I was expecting her to say was something simple like "I'm sorry, let me rectify this right away".
I called her out for her attitude and then had choice words with the manager about his employee and her attitude and as a dissatisfied customer who is not only in the right to expect the order made correctly but should not have to endure a sneering attitude to boot upon return to that location. I expect the order done right and replaced with an apology for the inconvenience.
I am not going to repeat the experience, leave my office yet again, this morning, drive back to the location just to get my order right. I mean really, though, two tomatoes and no lox? How hard is it to get the order right? Bagel, lox, light on the schmear.

Read moreOk, update. I got a reply on this IMMEDIATELY after posting this negative review. Reached out a SECOND time on the link below by the owner to get my money back and still have not gotten it. I am so appalled that I still haven’t got a refund for food that WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME. I’m not even sure how to dispute this further. This is illegal.
I did a mobile order, and my estimated pick up time was 6 am. I showed up right at 6, went in and my bag wasn’t ready. I waited a few more minutes and someone finally asked what the name on the order was. She told me the order had been picked up 20 minutes prior. I was unable to wait for another to be made, because It was already 10 mins past my scheduled pick up time so I asked if they could cancel and refund me. They said I had to do it on my own and request a refund through the website. Of course there’s no number to call so I had to submit a whole giant claim via email with a bunch of unnecessary information for something I never even got to eat. Still haven’t heard back from corporate. I guess guest satisfaction isn’t a top priority. I can’t wait to get my money back so I never have to deal with this company again. Mobile orders should not be out in the open on an honest system since people can’t read properly and run off with other people’s stuff. Read moreAt 11:04 AM, I placed an order which included a small vanilla shake. While the store was busy, the staff appeared disorganized and out of place. Around 11:15 AM, I received the food portion of my order, but the vanilla shake was missing. Upon inquiry, the manager informed me that they needed to make more coffee and assured me it would be ready shortly.
By 11:40 AM, I still had not received my vanilla coffee. At this point, I requested a refund. To my dismay, the store manager seemed indifferent to the situation. I later discovered that my vanilla coffee had been sitting out for over 20 minutes, yet no one had informed me or offered any alternatives.
What concerns me most is the lack of customer service. I received no apology for the inconvenience, and there was a complete absence of empathy from the staff. The manager simply processed my refund and dismissed me with a "have a great day." Due to this unsatisfactory experience and the poor handling of the situation, I regret to say that I will no longer be a customer of Einstein Bros Bagels.
