Market Cafe — Restaurant in Tempe

My mother was in town from out of state and we'd wanted to take her to dine next to their waterfall feature. We didn't know that area was only open for breakfast and lunch. Once Jose heard my mother was visiting from out of state, he immediately accommodated us. He asked that a table be readied for us in the 'closed' area and had a waitress get our drink and food orders started. Our waitress Kristen, along with her assistant (I've forgotten his name. He had beautiful black, curly hair) were so friendly and efficient. We had my 2 year old grandson with us and Kristen made sure to bring him a kids menu with crayons. All 3 of them checked on us regularly, made us feel welcome and kept our drinks filled. Jose came down and offered my grandson a popsicle for dessert (not knowing popsicles are his FAVORITE right now). Jose even brought down a few so he could pick his own flavor. The food was delicious! The BLT my daughter-in-law ordered was HUGE and was visually pleasing as well. I had the rainbow trout...YUMMM! My friend had the NY strip steak and it was not only cooked exactly as he likes it, it was perfectly seasoned and able to be cut with a butter knife. You can NOT go wrong with a visit here; from the impeccable staff to the delectable food and beautiful views indoors and out. I will be bringing future guests to dine here for sure! My first breakfast here at Market Cafe on top of the rock was sublime! Breakfast was prepared to perfection, and my attentive server Josie changed the future of my eggs forever. As she was passing my table, she saw me put 5 little dots of cholula on my poached egg on the second half of my everything bagel. She suggested with a wink I might like it even better with more. She was right. 😄 I’m from out of town, so when dining in the Tempe/Phoenix area, I appreciate expansive desert views and memorable eating experiences. I’m looking for memories, not bargains. So glad to find this spot. Great atmosphere, rock and waterfalls built into the dining spaces, varied landscaping inside and out, wide view, lovely music, friendly and helpful staff, and my delicious All American breakfast. I had a great experience, and I’ll remember it fondly every time I sauce my eggs...

We had all week taken in the different breakfast spots in the Tempe area and this is no exception, sometimes you save the best for last. Our waitress was :Hiba", a very pleasant and personable young lady, very attentive. We opted for breakfast items off the menu vs the buffet, and all was enjoyed. We had eggs, breakfast meats and toast with tea and coffee. While dining we were greeted by the floor manager, very nice of her, all the staff are very welcoming. It's a very pleasing dining area, we were seated by the indoor waterfalls, very beautiful.
