Food - Torta and salsas were exquisite. Done with care and expertise. Flavors were varied and edifying. The chips were disappointing and inconsistent. Some were done perfect, others were chewy and tasted like raw potato. Then, others were overcooked and provided a charred burnt type of flavor. Definitely would revisit the chips idea.
Service - It wasn’t apparent that seating in the adjacent bistro was available to Dos Primos customers, as a result we waited for one of four tables in their dining area. Once one was available, we patiently waited for the food, but no one came to wipe our previously used table down before we ate, so we ate on a, not so cleanly table (wasn’t incredibly dirty), but there were crumbs on the table from the previous occupants.
Atmosphere - Altogether the place was inviting and bright, but the music was kind of loud, and because they take a name with the order, when they called my name I couldn’t hear it. I had to be vigilant in making sure I was able to get my order by watching the staff closely. When they did call my name it was more lip reading for me than hearing.
Overall - Torta was amazing and unique. Chips left something to be desired. I think this place has great potential, but having opened so recently, they may have some room for improvement. Will be coming back in a month or two to see if the owners read this and take their customers advice as an opportunity to improve, or an opportunity to...
Read moreFood is phenomenal. Just absolutely the way that delicious Mexican food should taste! So flavorful and obviously made with tons of corazon!!!(Spanish for HEART)! The owner personally called me when I Postmated food - to ask me a question about my order. Like what?? Who does that? Wow. I am really impressed. This is how I think a business should be run but no one takes that time to do something like this anymore!! They deserve a review big time for the flavor of the food alone - but to care like that….i wish I could give them 10 stars.
So many places cut corners and I’m finding I always have to add salt to get more flavor… BUT NOT HERE…...you don’t have to do that because the flavor is soooo good! My daughter was raving about the street corn. She eats them all the time everywhere we go and said this was the best she’s ever had. I had a bite and it was off the charts. We want to order more right now but we are so full. We also got Iberia tacos and I have to say the same thing. Perfect! Super good and I can’t explain but cooked so RIGHT that the corn tortillas weren’t falling apart. LOVE THIS PLACE! I only took one picture (Sent to my other daughter) because I didn’t think about a review so I only have one pic (of the...
Read moreAbsolutely stellar girls lunch at Dos Primos today! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I ordered three tacos—one carnitas and two al pastor—and they were outstanding. Juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. Seriously some of the best tacos I’ve had in a while. Tried a few pieces of their smoked chicken, which was oh so juicy and tender.
Don’t miss the salsa bar—they’ve got an impressive variety of salsas ranging in spice and style. Whether you like it mild, creamy or fiery, there’s something for everyone.
We also tried the Loaded Gringos Nachos, and wow… I was blown away. They’re loaded in the best way possible—every bite had a mix of flavors and textures that worked so well together.
Drinks at the counter were another highlight. The Horchata was creamy and smooth, and the Cucumber, Lemon & Mint drink was super refreshing. Great selection overall.
To top it off, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great menu recommendations. Everything—including the bathrooms—was spotless and thoughtfully maintained.
Can’t wait to go back. If you haven’t been to Dos Primos yet, you’ve...
