Beginning & End of June Updates: went once early June & just recently here at the end & wanted to share the great & not so great experiences. The food was great both times. No complaints there. It is always so super fresh & delicious. Just look at the difference in the wrap jobs, the most recent one, wasnt even closed & required a plate & fork because it was all over the place. This would not have been at all edible on the go so be careful if you get a wrap & plan to eat it on the go, 'cause this would've all been in my lap. Lemonade is amazing & I definitely still recommend, just a word of warning on the wraps, seems hit or miss. Dec 2020: Got a BBQ salad (pictured, w/o dressing) & kid had Caesar, both with chicken & regular house lemonades for about $15. All of it was really good & fresh, chicken was perfect & not dry. The portions are quite generous so if you're not super hungry, maybe only dress half the salad so you can save some for later or get one to share. Dressing was yummy & the serving size was adequate for the salad. They use ALOT of ICE in the drinks so if you don't care for that I recommend asking for light ice. I recommend Salad & Go, for sure. If you're looking for a very quick healthy fresh meal, this is a great option. I noticed they also have breakfast burritos. If you enjoyed this review or found it helpful, please...
Read moreSalad & Go- I'm going to try and phrase this nicely. Service standards combined with sheer absence of fare quality leaves a lot to be desired. Located in Tempe proper, I can see how many may find your drive-thru appealing. However, it's also important to consider that you are also in proximity to many competitors. Many of which have baseline standards of quality.
The sheer lack of baseline standard of quality was appalling. In plain terms, I could have made these items at home & garnered a better result. Regrettable, as I was genuinely looking forward to this being a positive experience. My salad bowl was bland, did not contain complimentary flavors and was tossed in rushed fashion. The container itself was leaking condiments and vegetables by the time it was opened. Reflective of lack of prudence via staff, with little concern for actually representing your location to the best possible degree that it should.
I can infer how Salad & Go appeals to hungry passersbys'. Franchise style format, allowing guests to order from a smorgasbord of salads via drive-thru. The redeeming element of your franchise- the sheer availability of salads via drive-thru format. Allowing guests to order in a quick, convenient approach. Though as stated above; nullified once guests take...
Read moreSalad and go is nothing short of a blessing. I'm shocked there are so many haters in the reviews. First off, I've paid $15 at sit down restaurants for inferior skimpy unsatisfying salads. Salad and go dunks on them at the $5.75 price point. Want a large lemonade too? $1 Even for the frozen variety. With such a strong price point one may expect they will skimp you on the ingredients. Definitely not the case, everything is very generous and one salad is enough to fill me up and I'm 6'4 hovering around 300lbs.
Even when the drive through is busy they get the line moving quickly with outstanding service and accuracy on special requests. They have superb dressing, the jalapeño ranch has a spicy tangy zip, the César has deep notes of garlic and anchovies. Delicious. Want extra dressings? That's free! I've ordered nearly every salad on the menu and have never been disappointed. Even hitting them up near close, I've gotten nothing but the freshest veg and protein. With the unfortunate death of Sweet Tomatoes (buffets are too sus for COVID anyway) I eat at salad and go twice a week. They even know my name! You guys are crushing it and you can tell the crew is feeling the positive vibes of being paid STARTING @ $15...
