I have been eating here for over 4 years and I could not say enough great things about this place. The service is so friendly and they make the best recommendations if you can’t decide what to order. My favorite apps include: gyoza, crab Rangoon, jalapeño poppers, & miso soup. My favorite rolls are the salmon time, red mountain, and Las Vegas. They also have a great combo for dine in! I normally do carry out, but I’ve also eaten here several times. It’s such a cozy atmosphere - they have a counter with stools to sit at, along with 6-7 other tables. Parking is easy, too! Very chill environment. Story time! A few weeks ago after I picked up my order, I was tired and forgot I left my bag on top of my car and drove away. About 1/4 block down Baseline, I see my bag fly off my roof and land in the street 😭 I was so upset - but I had to turn around to see if it could be salvaged! So I went back and parked on a side street, raced to the lane where my food landed - it was untouched! But there was a group of cars headed my way and I was motioning with my arms for them to drive around to save my sushi 😂 Unhinged? Absolutely! But 3 cars drive around and the 4th truck drove OVER it but cleared it due to its height. IT WAS SAFE! I dashed out and grabbed the bag and drove home. I pulled out the container when I got home - was it a sushi bowl now? Yes. But it was still delicious!! SO GREAT I HAD TO SAVE IT 💚 I’ve attached two photos: what the sushi “bowl” looked like after the rescue and what it normally looks like 😂...
Read moreThe food was good and fresh. However, I found the service too intrusive. If you’re looking for a night out where you have the server lingering and hovering over you all night and telling you how to eat, controlling how you eat, then this is the place for you. I found it very stressful to have the server (owner?) standing over me, watching me eat and then chastising me for liking soy sauce. She did show us a different way to eat sushi which was great and a totally different taste experience. That part was actually good. But afterwards, she kept watching me and coming over if I used any soy sauce. I felt like I had to hide that I wanted to eat with soy sauce…. She also, wouldn’t leave us alone on our date so that we could just talk together. It was frustrating and stressful for me. I actually got a stomach ache after eating there and felt really sick. I think it was mostly because the server was standing over me and judging the way I was eating the whole time. For this reason, I don’t really ever want to go back. Even thinking about it gives me an anxiety attack. Hope this helps for others that want a peaceful and chill night out. This place is not chill. It’s pretty much a night out where you’re being given a lesson and then judged if you don’t follow that lesson. Ugh. (This is my first ever review for anything. I just figured I had to give a review to give people a heads up since I found it to be such a bad...
Read moreAfter getting quality take out from Sushi Time last year, my wife and I decided to eat there this evening. We saw there were good reviews and decided to give it a go. When we arrived, there was no one in the restaurant. The waitress never asked if we wanted anything to drink, and did not want to be bothered with us at all. About 10 minutes later, someone brought water out to us. It took at least another 10 minutes for someone to even take our order. The waitress was very tied up with someone on the phone and the other employee was oblivious. Other people started rolling in and got served before us. After over 30 minutes of waiting, we finally got our food, which was pretty good for the most part. By that point, the restaurant was completely full, which shouldn't even be allowed during a global pandemic. As we were leaving, one of the employees started questioning my wife as to why she didn't eat the cabbage from her meal, which was completely uncalled for and inappropriate. She said "You need to speak up next time" and I thought to myself "there won't be a next time." It's a shame a restaurant with good food has such terrible...
