We were very excited to try out this brewery after moving to Tempe, as it is one of the only places walking distance from our apartment. However, our first visit was a bit disappointing. When we got there, the only tables available were directly in the line of fire of some high-powered misters, so they were soaking wet. We had no choice but to sit on the puddles on the benches, and throughout the time that we were sitting there, our faces, glasses, hair, etc. were all covered in water.
The first time we visited, the menu consisted of two sours and then a bunch of IPA's. I love IPA's, so I was happy with this, but my girlfriend tends to avoid IPA's and said the sours didn't live up to expectations.
We did go back a second time, and it seemed they had turned off the misters that were soaking the tables. However, the food truck that was supposed to be there that day cancelled on them. Not their fault, but we were all hungry and planning on dinner, so we didn't end up staying long enough to check if the beer list was any different.
All of the employees have been very nice and helpful when we have been there! We...
Read moreI've been coming here about once a week over the last 3 years and while I never preferred their beer (lacking distinction and almost everything is unfiltered) I've liked the atmosphere and being tucked away. It was a really good place to come and get work done, read a book, or just relax. However, the service has gotten worse with newer bartenders who have zero people skills and seem put out that you interrupted their conversation or the book they're reading to do their job, they never seem to have misters on in the summer anymore (at least when I'm there), and they have a regular food truck that not only sucks (the owner/operator spends more time drinking inside than serving people) but also has a huge Dodge Ram and trailer with a LOUD generator that makes being outside a bad atmosphere. I think I'm finally done with this place. Get rid of that awful food truck, is this the owner of the place...
Read morePretty disappointed by this place. I purchased a Groupon for 4 flights, 4 pints, and 4 crowlers. I couldn't organize the full group to come with me so me and my wife went. When I presented the Groupon I was told they could only give me 2 flights and 2 pints because there are only 2 people. I protested because the Groupon didn't state anywhere that 4 people are required to redeem it. The Shop refused to give me something of equal value as compensation when I suggested to compromise. It's unfortunate because it is so close to my office and so many people I worked with wanted to try it (I had planned on distributing the crowlers to my coworkers) but I will have to inform them why I won't be going here anymore as well as why I will discontinue my use of Groupon. It's the principal of the matter, the employees were very nice, just not accommodating to...
