I had a question before going and they answered my email almost immediately. That impressed me as most businesses, and all chain restaurants, are awful at customer service and rarely answer the questions. I had a breakfast meeting and wanted somewhere not too busy or crowded. When I suggested this place the other person was quite excited. "It's been awhile but that place is legendary" he said. We were there for at least an hour and a half. The owner was very entertaining and busy in all aspects of operation. The bacon breakfast burrito there is the best one I've ever had. Always is. Every time someone tells me they have a new spot with the best breakfast burrito, I try it and it fails to beat the original Pepe's. Some people think $10.49 is pricey, but you have to realize this thing is big enough to stuff 2 people. It is gigamtic. They also have four different hot sauces. Three on the counter, and their secret signature hot sauce which you have to ask for behind the counter. It's very spicy but not unpleasantly spicy, and most importantly, delicious! Literally the only complaint I've ever had about this place was about a year and a half ago I had some drive-thru chips and guacamole and was disappointed with the portion. I mean, that's it! So if you're in the mood for a breakfast burrito, you will never beat Pepe's. We're looking for a place to meet someone for a meal and you don't want to be in a chaotic, crowded spot? This...

..if it isn't what I said it is' ill owe You a meal at your place of choice . That's how confident I am of these BreakfSt Burritos... best place to eat Mexican hands down . You want Tacos burritos ,delicious wet burritos etc ( I prefer the green) but the red is what my brother likes best. My parents used to take us to the one on Valley in Alhambra way back in the 70s ... PEPES has beenĝ providing my family and friends tasty ,quality, well made food for over 5 decades. It says alot about the integrity of the owners .Many restaurants don't last the test of time ,they either go out of business because they want more profit and begin buying cheap substitutes and expect the customer not to notice . No such thing at PEPES. You can taste the quality ,it's delicious . The prices are reasonable. My favorite was originally the Alhambra PEPES but I've been going to the Temple City PEPES more and more because I think it...
Read moreWe get burritos here all the time. Today I ordered machaca with easy beans and a chorizo burrito. A guy took my order. At the window a new young lady was there and read my order back, saying "easy on the meat" for the machaca burrito. I told her I said easy on the beans. She turned to the guy next to her and to my dismay, he wanted to hand me the burrito anyway. To make a long story short I asked for a new burrito no beans. I shouldn't have. They gave me vegetables scrambled with eggs! No beans and no meat! I took so long at the drive-thru my husband was irritated. You guys charged me $9 for a scrambled egg burrito. Bad for business. I should have went to Alhambra. I won't spend my money here again. Check your order before you leave! Don't waste your...
