This might be the absolute worst hibachi/sushi restaurant I’ve been to in the last 25 years. We made reservations for 5:30 pm on Valentine’s Day (did not have a chef come to the table until 6:45 pm). As soon as we walked in, the entire place smelled like dead fish/sewer 🤢 I almost slipped on the floor because it was covered in oil residue. When the “chef” finally arrived, he made zero small talk and showed zero hibachi skill. He was sweating profusely into the food, from his forehead to his forearms 🤢 in every other hibachi experience I’ve had, the reason for the 20% gratuity is because you get dinner and a show.. there was no show. In fact, the “chef” looked like his dog died this morning and hated the fact he even had to be there. Not to mention? The waitress acted like she didn’t want to serve anyone the soup and salad (we overpaid for) and was annoyed that she brought out more than was consumed. I ordered a glass of wine and had to wave over a complete different waitress just to get a refill. Then our chef began to cook 🤢 He spilled half of my food on the counter (it never made it to my plate) and he gave zero remorse for that. He then served fried rice to people who ordered steamed rice.. leaving the ones who paid EXTRA for fried rice with half a scoop. TO TOP IT OFF - NO SAUCE. And if you’re a sauce girly like me, you came SPECIFICALLY for the yum yum sauce. It wasn’t until the very end he asked if anyone needed sauce .. we all then replied “yes, I can’t eat any of this without sauce”. He then gave me half a bowl of sauce to eat my cold meat… Now the best part is yet to come. My husband served 6 years in the military and when I say he has an iron gut .. he can eat ANYTHING. 5 minutes in the car and he is trying to pull over to throw up. He BARELY made it home before he had explosive diarrhea and puked up his entire meal. $140 literally wasted .. I could have gotten a better valentines meal...
Read moreHorrible Experience!!! I took my wife of 20 years, daughter and Friends of ours to eat there last night for Valentines Day and left there very disgusted and ripped off! I made a reservation and did not get seated until 45 minutes after the reserved time. The waitress could not get our drink order correct, and we all felt rushed to order. I had to ask 3 times to get refills; the food was very over priced, and the menu says Filet Mignon, but it is some other cut of steak; the waitress forgot to bring us our salads, so after reminding her, she finally brought them out after the main course meal was served; Make sure you review your bill, I reviewed my bill and they over charged me for fried rice which is included in what I ordered. Regardless of the size of your group 2 or 20, you are going to have a 20% gratuity added on even if your food and service sucks, and when they bring you your check, they have the nerve of asking if you want to add a tip. Not only was my party very unhappy with the service, but so was everyone else sitting at the table as I noticed from the comments we were all making to each other. My bill was about $115 for my wife, daughter and I, that was for 3 meals and 2 ice teas and 1 sprite, no appetizers, other drinks or dessert. Make sure you wear a jacket while eating, our whole table was freezing cold as the air blows directly on you and your food and can't be adjusted. The paint is peeling off the walls and you are sitting in the back of the restaurant with 2 other Hibatchi tables just like some hole in the wall, very unattractive! I have been in the U.S Army for over 28 years, traveled over the World, and this is by far the worst restaurant we have ever dinned at. This was not the Valentines Day Dinner I wanted to give my wife, daughter, and our Friends. I am currently stationed at FT Hood and I will make sure to let everyone know not to go to...
Read more⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 15/10 — DJ the Hibachi King deserves a raise AND a throne.
Let me be so clear: DJ, the hibachi chef at this spot? ICONIC. Like, I would go back to this restaurant for him alone. He was: • Hilarious • Personable • Ridiculously skilled • Genuinely welcoming • And made us feel comfortable and seen, even in moments when I was lowkey uncomfortable
You know how some hibachi chefs go through the motions? DJ was theater. He made dinner feel like a full-on event. He’s the kind of guy that makes you want to come back just to be around his energy again. The food? 🔥 Immaculate. But honestly, I barely noticed the food because DJ was the main course. (And no, I will not apologize for that pun.)
✨ Bonus Shoutout to Mike the Manager
We briefly met Mike, the manager, and he was also just… really warm and kind. Great energy. You can tell he cares about the customer experience and runs a good team. If DJ is the frontman of the band, Mike is the laid-back producer in the back making sure everything hits.
😬 The Waitress Tho…
Okay… so… service from our waitress was a little weird. • To-go boxes were dropped at the table literally the second the chef walked away • The check came fast—like, aggressively fast • The vibe was “rush and hover,” and while I respect the hustle, the etiquette was just off
I tip regardless because, hey, we all have bad days, but it was not the shining example of good waitstaff energy. Still, she’s a footnote—not the headline.
💯 Overall: GO.
Would I recommend this place? Absolutely. But make sure you ask if DJ’s working that night. Because he is the reason I’ll be back. If the restaurant is smart, they’ll give that man a raise, a plaque, a company car, and a loyalty program where you get a free meal every 10 times you...
