I know every place can have employees having a bad day, call-outs, etc. so I stick to my 3 strike rule (most times). I try not to be a KAREN, but sometimes it is forced. First visit in August - for National Hamburger Day (which they pretended they did not know anything about) so we ordered food anyway. My hubby ordered the Super Bacon burger that was on the menu at the time - it came with NO Bacon. The manager was amazing and offered either a free meal at a later date or to remake the food. We went for the free meal, since I had already finished most of my food. She still brought him some bacon to add to the remaining part of his burger. Hiccup, but great service. Fast forward to this week - was in Temple so I stopped in with the receipt annotated for the free meal. The cashier had no idea how to handle it (not an issue) she takes it to the Manager (Jill) who spends 3 minutes checking something against her phone and the POS. She comes to the counter and without empathy or a smile - she tells me, "This was so long ago!" (Yes - 3 months) I explained that I had not made it back to this location until now...she then says "I cannot honor this, do you want to order something?" My thoughts: #1 - Your kitchen team had an EPIC fail last time, I was giving you a change to redeem. Why would I assume, with this treatment - it would be better? #2 - No one told me there was an expiration date? Had this been from 2020 - I would understand. #3 - Had Jill even pretended to care about the customer experience...I may have ordered a meal for try #2. Instead - I walked out and called customer service. #4 - Customer service answers the call with no introduction, I had to ask if I was talking to Whataburger. The conversation was fine and she sent a message to the location? She then explained that I would get a call or email to further discuss. Stating that sometimes they "send you something"? I do not want something, I just want to be able to go to my local Whataburger and know I will be taken care of. #5 - Has been a full business week and I have heard nothing...
If this is how you treat your customers - no one should visit...
Read moreWorst ran whataburger in the whole country! Congrats! We just came from the hospital as many of the patrions did while we were there. Right in front of us a guest asked what was on the patty melt. The lady on the register looked at the picture and said "i think..." as she was guessing while looking at the picture. Then it was our turn....poor kid hasn't eaten for over 24 hours. We asked if the a1 burger had onions. She said "i don't know.....i can tell them not to put it on" um....why are you even on the register if you don't know the menu?
While we were ordering someone came up, and the burger was wrong. That happens....i know. But....they didn't apologize. And made the guest seem at fault.
We sat down after i got the soda i didn't want because no one wanted to change the bag-in-box. The lady came out with food and walked back and forth not wanting to go down the aisles.....then....she reluctantly did when she realized we weren't at the four tables right up front. Just places it on our table. I asked for catsup and napkins. She looked irritated and places the tray on our table, and gives us one napkin.......at that point i don't know why she didn't just yell our number out?
Table next to us got a messed up order too.
Then a lady was yelling through the front door for assistace. Same cashier said "i cannot leave my register" seems that the customer got about $30 of extra food but had kids in the car and didn't want to leave them.......that cashier later left her register for some unknown reason for some time while 2 people waited in line......even though.....she said she couldn't.....she does it at the worst possible time.
Lastly.....the table behind us wanted some bbq sauce when their food came out. They said it would be 39 cents. .....come on.....39 cents? Please....just give it too them.....oh.....and they got thier...
Read moreThis Whataburger location is always incredibly slow and the food comes out warm at best. It is also unhygenic. I will NEVER come back here, here's why:
I drove through Whataburger today while I was out running errands with my fiancee. There were maybe 6 cars ahead of us, an attendant comes to the car and we order 2 meals and use a coupon for buy one get one free 16oz shake. We wait about 15 minutes. When we finally get to the window, we're given the order total $18.45, I hand them my card and coupon. We sit for 20 minutes. A manager comes to the window, "Sir, you need to purchase a shake to use this coupon", "yes, I ordered two shakes". The same cashier returns and says it'll be $20.66 now". I had no chance to respond, but they jacked up the price of my order and rang everything up a-la-carte. So I lost $2 using the coupon. "Ok, whatever its $2", I thought. We wait 10 more minutes before receiving our food. They didn't give us straws, but everything else was in the bag. Fries were cool, my grilled chicken melt seemed fresh enough. 45 minutes for a sandwich, some chicken strips, 2 fries and 2 shakes.
Fast forward 6 hours. I wake up after midnight with maybe the worst stomach cramps I have ever experienced. Extremely painful. Painful enough for me to write a long-winded bad review of this place. These continue for well over 3 hours. I'll spare you the details, but I know for a fact that I got food poisoning from this Whataburger. I had nothing else to eat all day except a PBJ and some rice crackers and got ill 6hrs after eating the food from Whataburger.
I am never going back to this Whataburger, and although I really like the food may not go back to any Whataburger locations. This was a ridiculous amount of annoyance and suffering to go through for a...
