Peggy's Coffee House — Restaurant in Temple

As my family and I were placing our orders, we asked the guy (very heavy set) if the apple cider can come cold. He said "yes". We completed our order, paid, and waited to be called. When my son recieved his apple cider it was hot. My son explained what he ordered, the guy spoke to the woman who made it, then came back and said it could only be iced. (It wasn't even iced) I stepped in to remind him of the conversation when we ordered. He said he told us "that it could not be cold that it could only be iced". That conversation never took place. The only answer he gave us was "yes". The woman then came over to say that there was nothing that could be done. That she could make another drink and discount it 10 percent. We said no thank you. We left.

We received what we did not order and paid for it. We were told that it could be made cold. This establishment did not correct their mistake, lied about it, then treated us awful. The woman treated returning customers with so much attitude that we will not return again. With Black rifle coffee, Dutch brothers, the healthy place, and so many other coffee/beverage cafés, you would think Peggy's would strive to keep their customers satisfied. One last thing, they were not busy. One customer before us and one customer after us. There are no excuses to have been treated the way we were treated.

Update: the response is not accurate. The young man at the front has been there for months. The other employee that was there knew of the situation immediately and was very rude, as if we were trying to get a free drink. We just wanted our order corrected. Because of how rude this lady was, I along with my family members who were there that day, 7 in all will not...

I was searching online for a birthday gift to give my sister and (fortunately) stumbled upon Peggy's Coffee House. I loved learning the story behind Peggy's, as well as the variety and unique descriptions of coffees. I read the reviews/comments which were so sincere and heartfelt. What a treasure to have Peggy's in your community! My gift order included a variety of roasts for my sister (also a Peggy) who lives in Ohio. The staff was so thoughtful and kind. Rob even included a 'birthday' mug with my order!
