If food could tell a story, The Greek Taverna would be a love letter to Greece. Every dish is a testament to authenticity, tradition, and the kind of care that makes a meal unforgettable.
The Branzini was very fresh and nothing short of perfection; the spinach pie was a real delight, and the Hatzimichalis Chardonnay tasted delicious! And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, the Bougatsa arrived—a light, creamy, awesome dessert that made me forget about sharing.
But what truly sets this place apart isn’t just the food—it’s the people. Petros, Thomas, Vasiliki, and Spyros welcome you with the warmth of a Greek home, making sure every guest is treated like family. Their passion shines through in every detail, from the service to the ambiance.
And speaking of ambiance—the restaurant’s atmosphere is as inviting as its food. Sparkling clean, dressed in soothing blue and white, it perfectly captures the essence of Greece. Dining here isn’t just a meal—it’s a beautiful experience, a little escape to the Mediterranean, right in the heart of town. And all that coming...
Read moreTried Greek Taverna in Tequesta . While my first impression was disappointing when I stood at the entranceway by the cash register, I waited for approximately 5 minutes not greeted. The owners son about 10 yrs old saw me and got someone from the kitchen to come out and greet me. Once they realized I was there I found that the service improved and that the food was very flavorful. I tried Octopus, the lemon roasted potato's and a complimentary spread which was very good on pita bread. The owner / chef came to my table and was very friendly and informative about the menu and it's variety. The only negative about the experience aside from the wait to be seated was they didn't serve tzatiki complimentry so I ordered some to go. It was fabulous and a large portion for the $$$. The octopus leg was the largest i've seen for a portion thus far. Nice people, good food! Give it a try and lets support local! My only suggesstion is to get a buzzer for the front door that you can hear in the kitchen so they know when someone arrives to eat if there is not a someone out front to...
Read moreWe went to the new Greek Taverna in Tequesta on Friday February 27th. My wife and I have been waiting anxiously for over a year after Nico’s closed unexpectedly. Nico’s was our favorite Greek restaurant in the entire area. Sometimes we would go there a couple times a week and our go to dinner was always the same. A Greek salad that we would split and Chicken Souvlaki with roasted potatoes. We ordered the same at the new Greek Taverna. The salad was authentic with tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers and black olives with homemade Greek dressing. It did not disappoint. The chicken souvlaki, chicken a peppers kabob, had large portions of chicken that were grilled to perfection. Moist and juicy. The Pita bread was perfect. Crispy and soft with a buttery taste. Spiro was our waiter. He brought us an original Greek dip that was a teeny bit spicy with Pita Bread as a welcoming appetizer on the house. I loved it and would order it the next time we visit. I would highly recommend Greek Taverna in Tequesta. New owners and newly remodeled. Clean and beautiful...
