I had submitted a complaint through the survey on the receipt for a store in Terre Haute, IN located on south 3rd street. The store had had an issue with their sink water which was so hot it burned our hands. My nephew who is 2 had washed his hands first and we didn't know it was hot until he started crying and we felt the water to see how hot it was. We let a manager know (Melissa) who showed no concern for the issue and then proceeded to give us incorrect orders which we did not bother telling them because we were afraid that they would do something to our food with the lack of customer care they had exhibited earlier. After voicing my concerns through the survey, I received an email with an apology from a woman named Diana who worked at the Brazil store that apparently takes care of customer concerns. I called her and spoke to her that while I appreciated the apology that my main concern was with the safety for other customers as the water had burnt my nephew's hands and could easily happen to anyone else as there was no sign up. She told me that the store should be reaching out to me. When I told her I had yet to hear from them, she said she would follow up. She called me back a few minutes later explaining that they had apparently been trying to reach me a few times that day unsuccessfully. This was odd because I had received no calls or voicemails from them. There have been times in the past that I had taken surveys for the same store and requested that they reach out and they never did so this told me that they lied to her. She told me to get a hold of Rachel or Karyn. I tried to call the store and was put on the phone with manager Michelle who explained to me that they had tried to call and I told her that I had not received missed calls or voicemails from them, just Diana at the other store. She then proceeded to tell me that a work order was out for the sink (this shocked me that the problem was not yet fixed) and she also tried to lie and say that the water cools down after about 5 minutes. Our party of 4 continually tried the water for a good 10 minutes and it remained boiling hot. My sister had also gone in again before leaving and there was still no sign up and the water was still just as hot even though we had seen at least one employee go in. This just shows the lack of care this restaurant has for its customers. A simple sign doesn't take long. This also made us concerned that the employees must not be washing their hands as it was impossible to leave your hands in that water for any amount of time. I do not want to hear back from this store as clearly they are all liars and have no customer service skills. Even the manager Michelle had no real care or serious concern in her rude tone while I spoke with her. I am appreciative that Diana reached out to me, though. She is from another store so I can only assume that this store must just have bad customer service compared to the others and I never plan to go...

Family or Friends. We reported the spitting incident.Returned food order to another McDonald's nothing was done. The investigation was believed turned over to Mangers / friends of hers with nothing being done yet again. Later. Months later not thinking about the past incident. Friends and family members stopped in to make a order. McDonald's employee Kelly Frakes runs out the door into the parking lot and start yelling Racist remarks and using m f's and other words toward both blk & whit customers. Telling everyone this is her store. She didn't wont any you m f's here and stood guard at door. We called THP ( Terre Haute Police ) to report incident but she had other employees to give false accounts of what took place .Police took her side in the incident but said we could call on them to state "we did report it ". Later we reported her to McDonald's. Went to get a sweet tea and it was empty so got a coke instead. Then, we found our seat. An employee came out and said they no longer have the Double Extreme and asked if a Double Quarter Pounder would work. I agreed. Then about 5 minutes later a different employee came out and said that they do have the Double Extreme just not the correct cheese and asked if American cheese would be okay. I agreed.
About 5-10 minutes later, they brought our food to our table. First, they forgot the chocolate milk that goes with the kids meal. I went up and got it. Second, they forgot our boys ranch for his nugget kids meal. Third, the Double Extreme Bacon meal was not a double. Rather it was a single patty. At this point I just said screw it and ate.
The day they reopened was awesome. However, seems to me they are back to screwing orders up again and not communicating what they do and don’t have. Effective communication is necessary to have a successful team. If they can’t communicate properly, the team will have issues. Some may end up as bigger issues than just a messed up order if it isn’t addressed sooner than later.
My advise to customers, check every little detail of your meal because they’ll likely screw it up. However, the place was clean and the food was good. This is the only reason they got the 3-star...
