The Verve — Restaurant in Terre Haute

I would not recommend The Verve to cater your event. They did a cash bar at my wedding but we gave bracelets to our wedding party so they did not have to pay, we would be given a tab to pay for their drinks after. During the event, the bartenders automatically started pouring doubles early on and charged us for them without being asked or having an agreement with us. There were also drinks on our tab that were unaccounted for. When I tried to discuss my concerns, the owner had me talk to a staff that worked the event. I had a difficult time getting ahold of him. When I was able to with him, I was only met with constant argument and judgement about my "drunk" guests. I tried to be civil and then tried to have a discussion with the owner. She called me and didn't even pause for a breathe while belittling me and didn't give me a chance to say a word. I appreciate business standing up for their employees but feel like the customer needs to at least be heard as well. I don't want to hurt small business but situations like this need to be put out there so potential future customers can be knowledgeable about what they are getting...

Don’t get me wrong I love the verve, I spend most of my free time having a good time there. But recently having my credit card open has been a problem.. my credit card always gets charged way more then I actually bought. Last night I asked for a receipt with all my drinks on it and the bartender helped everyone and made me wait for quite a while to give it to me. Multiple drinks were charged to my card and when I asked why I had so many drinks that were not mine and I was pretty much just threatened to pay my tab whether it was right or not. I will never charge my card there again because this usually happens when I charge my card. When I woke up another random 10 dollar charge was placed aside from the over charged price I had. Arrived about 2:20 am Told me it was a $10-person cover charge that night. Then I get to the bar after waiting in line. To be told I can't buy a drink , after that the dj instructed us to get our drinks before, it was the last call. So I go back to the bar like hey you just said no, he is saying we can, She says no, so I ask the other guy, thinking she just thinks I am drunk or something. And he goes to make my drink, and she then stops him and says she told me no.

How are you gonna charge 10 per person as if it was a busy night and needed to, I pay for 2 people and then won't even sell us drinks. 🤔 wack club. I've been to clubs in Miami. All of Indy , Bloomington, and Lafayette. This was just mad disrespect...
