Only my second time there and I was highly disappointed to say the least. Lots of servers standing around but no one bothered to wait on us. We were told Cheyanne or Shyanne (not sure of the spelling) would be right with us. She was not right with us— in fact we watched as she tended to other tables and walked past us several times. The only reason I knew who she was is because someone pointed her out when I asked about her. It sure wasn’t because she stopped and introduced herself. We had to get up to order at the bar like we’re at a concession stand. Anything we needed we had to get up for bc not one server even checked to see if we needed anything such as refills (which we did). My salad came out with lukewarm toppings, in a warm bowl. I probably would’ve sent it back if anyone had bothered to ask us how our food was tasting. We had a pile of dishes on our table that sat there all night—approximately 3+ hours. I even stacked them nicely to make it easier. But obviously not easy enough! We watched several servers walk on by without any acknowledgment—not even a smile! We also had to go to the bar to get our bill. We didn’t really know who to tip because we did everything ourselves. I will give Cheyenne credit for bringing the food out but walking away so fast there was no time to ask for anything. I was hoping to have the night off but no such luck lol. As a server and bartender for 20 + years, I take pride in taking care of people and hopefully adding a positive experience to their night in hopes they’ll return. I guess these people don’t need the money and sadly for them I am a very generous tipper when the service is good or even just decent. Unfortunately, the service did not fall into either of...

In town for an event at Indiana State University and was suggested we give the Terminal Public House a try. So glad we did!! The service was excellent. Our waitress was so attentive. She consistantly checked in, not to much but exactly when you would expect. The food was sooo good. The wings appetizer was the best wings I have ever had. The were crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. Not that fatty skin that most places serve. We split the tenderloin. It was just as good. Beer selection was good. Had all the staples along with some Indiana brewery's and a very good Brown Ale from Short's Brewing out of Michigan. The building is very cool and has a really interesting history.

My final comment and one of the key indicators of how good a restaurant is. The men's room was immaculate. I even heard one of the staff as they were about to leave for the day, tell the manager that he cleaned the restrooms and was heading out. I had been in there prior to him cleaning...it was already spotless. I know...a weird thing to notice, but when a bathroom is dirty...it...

The filet sliders were excellent. One might expect them to be difficult to eat in sandwich form but they were so pefectly cooked that I had no difficulty. If you like horseradish, this is your dish. If you don't, just get them with mayo, because you can definitely taste the horseradish. The Haute Poutine is top notch, and it is 100% a meal itself. Either get it to share, or get it alone; you won't need more food. Also, if ever you've criticized poutine for not having enough of any single ingredient, then this is the poutine for you. The adult grilled cheese was so good - very buttery and filling. The smashed tweety is a great option, too. A perfect burger. Slaw fans - their cole slaw is fire. They have a great beer selection, and the smoked old fashioned was very good. 100%, 10/10 do recommend. Friends have praised: chicken parm, shrimp tacos, steak sandwich, various flatbreads. Also, prices are SOOOO reasonable. I'm from 3 hours south, near Louisville, KY, and I wish our restaurants were priced half as fairly. A must if you are in...

I enjoyed my time and food I had at the Terminal Public House. Luckily it was right across the way from the hotel I was staying at, so I was able to make a 5-minute walk and enjoy an adult beverage along with it. I can’t really speak about parking, because I didn’t drive there nor pay attention to the parking situation, but I want to say there was a small lot, but I know for certain there is street parking if it isn’t a busy day. The wings weren’t too bad, but I think what won me over were the flat breads they have and so far, I have two favorites. The Crab Rangoon, if they don’t over sauce it, it’s a perfect balance of sweet and savory. My other favorite would be the Tikka Masala, if Tiki Masala is your thing, then on a flatbread you will be pleasantly surprised. The chicken and sauce, plus there’s rice on it, which was a nice shock to the buds, which a powerful crunch, it completes me. Full bar, friendly faces, good eats and swanky vibrations.

I found a new favorite place to eat in Terre Haute! My wife and I joined two of her cousins and their spouses at The Terminal last night. A desk clerk from the Hampton Inn recommended it...and we're glad he did! We loved the atmosphere of this restored historic building. Our waitress, Kate, was phenomenal! She answered all our questions about the building as well as the menu. We loved the food selections--it was so difficult trying to choose. The menu description of most items was more detailed than what is normally provided, and Kate was even more specific with her descriptions! It was fun and entertaining, because it was obvious she loves what she does. The food was delicious, the portions were very generous, and the price was quite reasonable. Our two other couples live outside the area, but my wife and I plan to return. Thanks for creating an excellent dine experience!!

The Terminal Public House was such a pleasant surprise! The menu has an impressive variety of options — honestly, it was tough to pick just one entree because everything looked so good. I ended up trying the Hippie Wings (breaded cauliflower) along with two entrees: the Poke Nachos and the Southwest Salad. Everything was flavorful and beautifully presented. The cocktail menu was just as exciting, with several creative options for each type of liquor. I went with the Strawberry Basil Smash, which was sweet, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and my food came out surprisingly fast. The atmosphere ties it all together: an upscale vintage vibe that feels modern, clean, and welcoming. Overall, The Terminal Public House is a spot I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again.
