I will NOT be returning to this Denny's ever again after today. I used to frequent this Denny's 4-5 years ago and had some really horrible experiences with the food, the service and the smoking that they allowed. When a friend of mine told me it had been bought out and the staff had changed we started going back again.
Thats when we met Lana, she was the best server this Denny's ever had, she was always in a great mood, singing, great personality, she was a speedy little thing too! We have always requested her and if she was gone for some reason we would ask for Destiny. Our orders were always put in right and brought out right when she was there. Our kids enjoyed her as much as we did because they knew when they got done eating she always had stickers for them too!
In the last 6 months we would NOT have gone back if it wasnt for Lana or her daughter working there. The food is good, it is just never consistent and God forbid you go there on a weekend. You would think pancakes and eggs are quick and easy but not here! Every weekend it seemed our orders took longer and longer to come out of the kitchen and when they did, half the time it was cold, or missing some of it. We could hear our server telling the cooks, that everything wasnt there but she was always told to take it out anyway.She was always apologizing for the cooks or for the management when this happened over and over again. We have sat and listened to other customers around us complain, and we have watched them walk out on weekends due to the same situation. Its a darn shame Dennys wont do what they need to do and fix the problems here.
Those poor servers never had a busser to help them when they were busy, we never saw a manager around and not once did a manager ever come out to talk to us after we had a bad experience. They usually just had Lana take 15% off our bill to justify everything.
I guess in the back of our minds we knew things were going south there when so many new servers were showing up and the older ones quitting. I guess we knew the time would come someday when Lana and her daughter would leave but we were not expecting it to be today. They had a real strong connection with their customers and I know they will be greatly...
Read moreWell to start off I don’t really write reviews but this.. we walked in no one greeted us for about 5 minutes which is kinda my first red flag but oh well no biggie. We sit the waitress asked what we would like to drink and hands us our menus. We been waiting for her to come back and take our order. it’s been about 20 minutes, she has not came back. Finally I catch her eyes from a distance and she says “are y'all ready to order” what?. Ok whatever, she takes our order and specifically asked for no cheese on the eggs on the ALL AMERICAN special. We wait on our order it’s been over an hour. Time frame is we got there at 9:50 we left at 11:08 when the food came also she never came to refill drinks or update us. Nothing. Finally two plates came and it was my brothers and boyfriends. Food didn’t look appealing, didn’t even taste good. That’s when I said naw we gotta go. When my food came I said we lost our appetite and there was cheese on the eggs!. And I actually heard her say to the cook “she wants cheese on her eggs” confidently and I was just hoping it wasn’t my order and IT WAS also she brought pancakes and I said I didn't even order that she said the All American comes with that … no it don’t. Inconsistent and just no good service but she was nice and all in the end she said customer is always right and she understands but I waited 1h and 10 min no drinks refill ughhh. Very frustrating and sorry if I suck at explaining also I noticed other people got food before us even though we were there first and it was just 3 of us. Read moreThis Dennys has TERRIBLE customer service. My family and I came in for a Sunday meal and our waiter Jackie immediately started things off wrong. It took 15-20 minutes for her to even acknowledge our table. She finally comes over, we order our drinks and meals since we had plenty of time to look over the menu. About 5 minutes after we gave her our selections she comes back with the receipt lays it on the table and then leaves. I have never seen that happen at any establishment I’ve ever been to. It takes another 30 minutes for our food to come ( between us waiting, inquiring and insisting we don’t want cold food.) The food comes and what do you know. One meal is totally cold, one meal the fries are cold and I have no meal at all. At that point my sister informs Jackie the waitress that she doesn’t want the food and Jackie snatches the plate off of the table and the receipt takes it back to the kitchen and says she doesn’t care. We asked for the manger he comped the meal minus the drinks. While we were at the counter to pay for the drink another patron of this fine establishment asked another waitress about the wifi and she got an attitude with the customer and shrugged her shoulders with a cold attitude and asked him what did he “want her to do about it.” All in all this place needs a new manger or the waitresses need some additional training in customer service and we won’t be back and I suggest no one...
