Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Texarkana

The food was good, but I think the staff needs some help and some direction from management. The entire restaurant was dirty. And I mean that literally. The floor, the chairs, the tables, all of it was covered in sticky, gross, dusty debris. Our feet stuck to the floor and it felt like the table had been wiped maybe once that morning and left to just collect dust and food all day and get gross and sticky. Most of the tables hadn't been bussed, so seating in the mostly empty restaurant was actually hard to find because we needed a table for 4 and most of those were covered in dirty dishes. The salad bar appeared.... unloved, so our usual favorite at a Jason's was skipped. The water from the soda fountain tasted like the lines hadn't been cleaned in, well.... ever. Had a distinct algae flavor. Took my son to the bathroom and found the men's room toilet clogged and actively overflowing. I advised a staff member of this and their reaction was "OK" and they went back to picking up food from the floor. Overall, the food was OK, not great, most of it came out correct but had to ask twice for silverware, and the kids food was lukewarm. We usually find Jason's locations to be spotless, some of the best in the quick service industry, but this location...

Quite possibly the dirtiest Jason’s Deli (or any restaurant) I’ve been in. I order a simple meal, chicken noodle soup and a bowl of fruit. When I walk in I notice a strange stench but I’m hungry so I go in anyway. Place my order. Within 5 minutes out it comes. Guy bringing it spills a trail and f it on the floor to me so the bowl and napkins and spoon are covered in soup. Wouldn’t have mattered anyway on the spoon as when I picked it up, it was sticky and covered in something as if it has just been used and not washed. I took it back for a new one. Get back and it quickly became obvious why he was spilling my “soup” as it was a bowl or broth with literally 1 piece of chicken, a carrot, and nothing else. I took it back and a nice young lady quickly corrected that for me. The fruit was not cold at all and a little mushy. Crackers I grabbed from the salad bar were stale. Food particles all over the floor. Noted a guy behind the counter cleaning a spatula while talking with a cloth, a definite no no in the food industry. Manager was sitting at a table browsing his phone in the middle of the dirty floors. Not my idea of the Jason’s Delis...

5-18-23 Dine in, my elderly mother and I. Our order taker was absolutely wonderful! After that everything went down hill. Our order was #61. We waited and waited. We saw other tables with numbers in the 70s being served. I went up to the end of the serving line and asked if they forgot about us. They said they didn't go by numbers. Eventually we got our food, but not all of it. We both had a half sandwich and side salad. We didn't get the side salad plates. I had to ask for them. We got our salads at the salad bar, and there was no ranch dressing. And I mean the entire pot had not been put into the salad bar. I asked the worker who I had seen at the salad bar several times if there was Ranch Dressing. He brought out the pot, without a dipper. I had no way to put the ranch dressing on my salad. Again I had to ask someone if there is a dipper! I also saw a worker walk around and ask each table if everything was ok and if they needed anything. Guess what? They never came to our table. My elderly mother and I probably won't be back anytime soon. It was also absolutely traumatic to get out of the parking lot. No green light...
