Cicis Pizza — Restaurant in Texarkana

On Monday March 17, 2025;  I treated my wife, 2 children, and I to your buffet at the Texarkana, TX location where we enjoyed the all you can eat buffet with ice water. I included what we drank because I saw things floating in the water at time of consumption but didn’t think anything of it at the time. On March 18, 2025 I woke up in the middle of the night to cold sweats, vomiting and diarrhea. I constantly vomited and had continuous episodes of diarrhea throughout the remainder of the night. Every episode of vomiting smelled of pizza and stomach acid, and light red in color. My children and wife also suffered from loose stools. I was very weak and nauseated. The vomiting and diarrhea finally subsided around 12:00 noon. At 12:12pm, I then contacted the Texarkana store and spoke with employee Andre Martinez;  who identified himself as the morning manager. I expressed to him my complaint and suffering. He stated that the dough may have been left over from the morning before and used instead of being thrown away and that this is usually what happens when people get sick. I then asked him for his General Manager’s number; Mr. Martinez then placed me on hold. When he resumed our call, he stated that he contacted the general manager himself. He stated that the general Manager’s name is Tolea Hernandez and she is not at the store at the moment and then said all their dough is made fresh daily as if he did not inform me that dough was used from the day before. I then reminded Mr. Martinez that he previously told me that the had just informed me that the dough was used from the day before and he again reiterated dough is made fresh daily as if he was reading from a script. I asked for the general manager’s number so that I could converse with her myself and he refused. I ask him several times for the general manager’s number or even the district manager’s, I even explained to Mr. Martinez that he has an obligation to do so; yet he still refused. I even asked for a corporate contact and Mr. Martinez still refused then proceeded to hang the phone up in my face while I was still talking. This is an unacceptable behavior, not only is my family suffering intestinally from dining at your establishment, now I am being lied to and disrespected. It is now 3/23/2025 and my issue has yet to be addressed, even after to talking with someone over the phone who said they would handle the matter. Im starting to believe the owner’s response is just a blanketed reply to subdue my concerns and make it appear as they are handling this issue, when it most definitely is not. We were standing at the door at 11, waiting for them to open. After paying, we got our drinks then requested a specialty pizza. Along came a large school group and it was all downhill from there. Not only did the group continue to wipe out the buffet for the next 45 minutes but staff gave our specialist pizza to someone else as well. When we asked about it, the manager said they would have to make us another. We tried to get tokens and one machine took our money so we went to the manager, who only suggested we tried the other. Never refunded our money. Our granddaughter could not play any games or even ride the horse because the group was too large and packed in there. So, we get tokens from the other and machine and she finally gets to put tokens into a plastic toy bubble container thin, just to use the tokens. It TAKES the tokens. If a school group shows up, demand a refund...

this is the WORST CiCis pizza I’ve ever been to and NOT baby friendly leaving high chairs COVRED IN FOOD. They used to have such good staff, service, and food. Don’t go here it is a waste of your time. I asked about a certain pizza the only kind I really eat here after waiting 20 minutes to see if they would make it. I went up to the food line to ask if they could make one up real fast but it took 5 minutes of standing there and trying to yell for someone and no one would come, when they finally did and took my “order” they didn’t even let me know it was ready. I got some broccoli and it was brown and mushy. The high chairs (only two in the store) are CAKED in food I asked if she could wipe the food off for me and she dabbed to part towel on the seat not the part that was literally caked in food! This is disgusting!!! They would rather hide...
