A long wait this morning proved to be even longer when my order was not correct at the drive thru window. I had to circle around and park my car to go inside and get the items I ordered. The lady in charge asked what I needed, and when I told her that I didn't get what I ordered, she said she knew he had given me the wrong one.
Perhaps she should have stopped the guy at the window from giving me the wrong order in the first place. Rather than properly offer an apology, she just rudely demanded to know what I had ordered. She took the bag with the wrong items from me, along with my straw and condiments that were inside it, and then barked at the line cook to fix what I needed while I stood waiting on what I had ordered. When the line cook had prepped the SEC biscuit, he wrapped it and handed it to the lady who slapped it in a bag, and then handed the bag over to me. "Here," she curtly said.
Here? Did she really just act like it was my fault that she let the window attendant give me the wrong order? Here? Did she seriously think that being so impolite was necessary? Here? Really? Lady, you had probably better be glad I didn't "here" you right upside your face with that bag of 2 breakfast sandwiches. How absolutely unbelievable to treat customers like that.
Since you obviously do not know, the first problem is your insolence. You should've said, "I apologize for this trouble." Then, you should've said it again when you handed me the correct items.
As a matter of fact, what you should have done was insisted that I was invited to keep the items you had gotten wrong, and you should have given me a corrected order, too. You should have ensured that the straw which your employee placed in my first to-go bag was included in the second bag. You should've also ensured that you'd done that for my condiments, too.
You should not have put a bag you'd previously sent out the window to me, now with food items I had unwrapped and touched, which I had brought from inside my car back to you, where you improperly placed it on the food prep counter behind the cash registers' countertop--alongside orders that you were readying. Nope. You should know that quite well since you were in charge.
I don't know what is happening to prevent people from doing their jobs properly or from properly attending to customers in the course of doing their jobs, but whatever it is, it is wholly dissatisfying as a customer to endure.
I'm so incomparably tired of lazy, rude people with deplorable attitudes pretending to be working at jobs, where clearly these people do not wish to be employed or working, much less properly serving the business' customers--the same customers whose money pays for food items they've ordered and whose money, when combined with that of other customers, is what ultimately pays these employees' wages.
From now on, I think I am going to step up to the task of saying I have had enough of this kind of foolishness. So, when I feel that's what is necessary, from now on, you can bet your sweet bucks that I am going to tell you exactly what it is that you're not doing right.
Don't be surprised when I give you an earful for messing up, or for overlooking norms and social conventions by failing common courtesy in replying to my "thank you" with the standard response it necessitates. (That is, "You are welcome:" that is not, "Uh huh.")
I hope those of you who read this find some agreement with my notion that enough is enough. We need to recognize that spending our money affords us an express authority, and we need to exercise our express authority whenever what we are spending our money on fails to grant us what we are purchasing. I have had enough, and I am about to start letting those people who ignore my authorities hear about each and every...
Read moreOn Sunday (yesterday), we arrived in line at 10:17am. The lines were not too long and were not moving much. I had a feeling we wouldn’t be able to order before 10:30, so I ordered through the app thinking our food would be ready by the time we get to the window. The lady at the first window was nice. We received greetings, a smile, and the receipt. We didn’t receive the same customer service at the second window. As the lady was handing us our drinks she asked “did they tell you about the food?” I gave a confused look wondering what’s going on with our food. She then tells us that they stop serving breakfast at 10:30. I let her know that I made a mobile order before 10:30. She then tells me that it doesn’t go through until I get to the store. I then let her know that I’d been in line since 10:17. After a short conversation with another person she tells me to pull up to the third window. We waited another 12-13 minutes then received our food at the third window. We spent thirty minutes at a “fast food” restaurant and the line wasn’t long enough for that kind of wait. I understand they could have been short staffed or other customers in front of us could have made large orders, but it’s about the customer service. We didn’t receive any apologies about the wait, the confusion, or anything. I’ve experienced slowness at this location before, but this was by far the longest and the worst...
Read moreMara, went above and beyond for me and my service animal this evening. We spent our last $11 and enjoyed a meal while someone was actually kind and not looking for information.
I hope you guys keep her around as there aren't a lot of folks left in this world that even though working and getting paid, they aren't willing to do right by folks unless they get something in return.
That's called selfish, and Mara my friend you deserve a raise or someone at least to say they appreciate your "selfless" work. 💯
Updated Great job on front line.
I don't understand why people take a compliment saying "thank you for the fresh food" and make it something that's it's not.
Didn't lie mam, let's make it a general statement since you went to the back when the black guy came out for what reason?
It's not just some employees, it's the customers as well.
And it's not just at McDonalds, it's literally everywhere in the United States apparently.
Hope you are able to get your front door secure cause because right now it's not.
Now you know that my last dog of 17 years old was a female also.
Those that "need to know," hope you're happy.
Next time you visit Mc Donald's, by yourself a Happy Meal and then go to the...
