Ma Ma Fu China Express — Restaurant in Texas City

I should have read the reviews first!!!! BRant is NOT lying.

Im visiting for work and don't have any family in Texas City so I thought it would be a good idea to grab a bite to eat and sit down so originally I stopped at Udo Japan, but they were closed for the holiday. Wrong choice I should have went home. I ordered the two meat plate with the sweet and spicy shrimp and the general tso chicken with half rice half noodles. I got a wonton soup and fried dumplings. The soup and dumplings were fine but the plate wasn't appealing at all. The noodles were stuck together and dry the rice was bland and over cooked even after adding soy sauce I couldn't pallet the side no biggie I was going to just eat the main but the chicken was dry and the shrimp was hard and chewy. I'm not the type of person who likes confrontation so I asked for a refund for my plate the lady brought me $1 per management I informed her I would like a refund for the whole plate as I didn't touch anything (mind you I dined in they saw me not eat it i noticed a camera right in my direction). The owner (I assume) got really upset and said he doesn't do that, I let him know I didn't eat any of it and he said "it's not like I could put it back" [well no usually it gets thrown away where it belongs of course you can't put it back but most places if the customer is not satisfied they give them a refund (mind you I paid cash, so no hassle and he could have kept the tax)] I said "I understand that may I just get a new plate because the items I got were old," "no ma'am I can replace the shrimp and that's it." So again I said "well I didn't eat any of it so that's not really fair and he said "we don't do that". unfortunately i couldn't take pictures of the food to show you guys because I left crying and hungry because not only am I alone on the Fourth of July I'm also hungry because that was all the money I had.

If you can avoid wasting your money here I would suggest you do so the food has no flavor and it sits out all day. The owner is a nasty person and does not deserve good peoples business. I'm not a scammer or anything I work hard for my money and all I wanted was a decent meal and he robbed me of that on a HOLIDAY!!! I've had nothing but horrible experiences in Texas city GET OUT IF YOU CAN JUST KEEP DRIVING DONT EVEN STOP! Go to best wok it's worth the trip!!! Better food and better service.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I ORDERED OVER $40 WORTH OF FOOD AND BROUGHT MY EGG DROP SOUP BACK BECAUSE IT TASTE LIKE PURE VINEGAR, YOU DO NOT TASTE ANYTHING ELSE IN THE SOUP EXCEPT VINEGAR! WAYNE GAVE ME SUCH A HARD TIME TO REFUND ME FOR JUST THE SOUP. I TOLD HIM ALL THE OTHER FOOD WE ORDERED TASTED GOOD BUT NO ONE IN MY HOUSEHOLD COULD EAT THE SOUP. WAYNE SAID HE COULD OFFER ME A SMALLER PORTION OF ANOTHER SOUP OR GIVE ME A HALF REFUND. I ADVISED HIM THAT THE RESTURANT DOES NOT POST ANYTHING ABOUT NO EXHANGES OR REFUNDS. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS PLACE WILL NOT GIVE YOU A REFUND FOR ANYTHING YOU RETURN IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE FOOD. WAYNE CALLED SOMEONE ON THE PHONE AND HE FINALLY REFUNDED ME FOR THE SOUP. AND THEN TOLD ME NOT TO COME BACK TO THE RESTAURANT. PLEASE RECONSIDER GOING TO THIS PLACE TO SPEND YOUR MONEY. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN TREATED SO RUDELY BY A STORE EMPLOYEE. I NOW UNDERSTAND WHY NO ONE IS EVER AT THIS PLACE WHEN I DRIVE BY IT EACH DAY. PLEASE BE WARNED! Sorry but I have to give you two stats mamafu. I ordered the 3 entree plate. I called my order in. The lady said my order was $9.74. When I went to pick up my order I was asked what I ordered. I mentioned I had ordered the three entree plate and explained what I ordered. The man working said my order had not been prepared and proceeded to fix me some food off a buffet that looked Ike the food had been sitting there all day long. I asked where MY specific order was at. I was asked if a female took my order. I responded yes it was a female. I was told that "SHE forgot".
