Captain Hook's — Restaurant in Texas

My first visit and was very impressed👌🏾 I never really found a place that had great tasting chicken wings and gizzards 😇 near my area. I’ve tried various places in the area, but never satisfied. Either they were too expensive for serving size or the taste wasn’t the same on the next visit. I searched for places near by for gizzards and found one place and their gizzards was not seasoned and dry. I settled for chicken at one place, but there wings never really hit the spot and taste nothing like the original restaurant on the other side of town. Never went back. Captain Hook’s will be seeing me again. There wings, fish and gizzards was fried crispy and tasty the Southern way. Don’t get me wrong there are places that has great chicken, but they all are 15-20 miles away. If you love whole chicken wings like I do, try out Captain Hook’s to deceive for yourself. You will be impressed🥰

Update, beware for the wait. My recent visit the to Captain Hook I was very disappointed in the wait time in getting my order. I called in my order at 5:11 pm went pick it up think I would be waiting the norm 10-15 min, nope it took over up to a 45 minute wait. It’s was like they never put the order in. There were customer that came in after me that received their order. I put two and two together that the owner was not there. One cook, one order taker and one order preparer. Two of them were lost😳 if the owner not there I will not be ordering. I been coming to this estate since my last post above...

Captain Hooks. More like Captain Crooks. Overpriced chicken tenders with no drink. You will wind up spending less for the same quality at any other chicken place. And get a drink with it. Sat in a Drive-Thru forever with no line and couldn't get an order put in. The person I was speaking to over the speaker had an attitude. Was not listening at all. I explained to the gentleman that I have never been to this store so I'm not sure what's good so I asked for his opinion. All he said in Return was are you ready to order or do you need a few more minutes. Blatantly ignored what I just said. No response. Once I was ready to order nobody answered the speaker so I had to walk inside. Where I was greeted by another employee, a woman with an even bigger attitude and no customer skills. The energy inside the store felt horrible, and miserable. The moment I walked in the door I felt an overwhelming sensation of depression and stress. The store reeks of bad attitude and poor workmanship. The restaurant inside is super hot and smells very musty. Thankfully when my food was finally ready the person who gave it to me did try to make up it seems like for the lack of customer service and the poor etiquette. I do appreciate that man for being positive in such a Negative environment. The rest of the team should really follow his example. I personally don't want to come back to this store. If you want to give it a try though go ahead. It could be worth it for you. Who knows maybe I just caught them...

Left out item. Called the same day. 2nd visit. Owner stated - " That was a long time ago !"

I haven't even LIVED in TX long, lol.

Told him - NO Worries. . . Bc OBVI - there are too many chicken places to be Loyal to a CHEAP SKATE. . . $3.99 ? I Tipped Both times more than that + You kept my item ??

Kept 2 stars for The Cashier - attempting to assist & the chicken on 1st visit. 2nd visit had old & new mixed. Sides were still on life support.

Had to RE REVIEW - When the owner STILL didn't give me the item on the 2nd visit - EVEN After stating - I would PAY for it. . . Really was the only side I Wanted.

. . . TIPPED Over 5 bucks - each visit - FOR PICK UP ( no biggie . . . But my side , lol !?) . . . &&& Still didn't : Think : to Say - SHE PAID FOR THIS ALREADY + A Voicemail - the same Business Day. . blinks

Maybe his Funds are tied up in Silicon Valley Bank bc NO BUSINESS OWNER is pushing customers away. . They need them ALL.

3 dollars & 99 cents. $57 order - Twice.

Touché - I need to eat Healthier anyway :^ )
