Chicken Salad Chick — Restaurant in Texas

Continuing my ONLY FIRSTS IN '24 Journey, I landed at Chicken Salad Chick ... without knowing what to expect on the menu or any recommendations, at the end of the day my experience at Chicken Salad Chick was nothing short of delightful. I ordered a Chicken Salad BLT with the Olivia's Old Fashioned Chicken Salad and a Turkey club (to share, LOL). Both were symphonies of flavor, showcasing the freshness and quality of ingredients. The chicken salad, a star in its own right, had the perfect blend of savory and creamy notes, making each bite a pretty decadent indulgence. The Turkey Club was equally impressive, with the layers of ingredients which harmonized seamlessly. And it was loaded with Turkey! As equally praiseworthy were the the macaroni and cheese which was everything a good homemade mac-n-cheese should taste and feel like, rich and comforting. And I failed to take notice of the lemonade brand until after leaving and tasting, but it was delicious and a refreshing balance to the savory dishes. The attention to detail and commitment to quality at Chicken Salad Chick were evident in every aspect of my meal. I don't know what I was expecting on my first time ever here but it surely wasn't what I got so here's what happened...

As I entered I was greeted warmly and politely by Sofica and Aaron. They told me that the menu had a few new items and asked what I wanted. They were patient with me as it was my first time and even offered suggestions and samples. After ordering my food was delivered quickly and I was even offered a drink on the house.

When we sat down to eat I was so surprised with what went in my mouth that my eyes lit up, or so my wife said. I had the "Sassy Scotty" on wheat bread with fresh fruit and a side of egg salad. Now I'm not a fan of pickles and there were pickles in the egg salad but you could hardly taste them. The "Sassy Scotty" was absolutely delicious with bacon bits, ranch and cheese in it. And I will not be lying when I say that this was the absolutely best chicken salad sandwich that I have ever put in my mouth!

My only problem with this place Is that there isn't a location anywhere near where I live and this one is almost an hour away. My wife and I loved this place and if I'm ever in the area I will definitely...

I really wanted to like this place as soup and sandwich is one of my favorite meals and don't support Panera Bread but I was really disappointed with this place. I got the spicy pimento sandwich with a croissant, loaded baked potato soup and Mac n cheese. The pimento itself was alright but the croissant was stale and tough to chew on and did not taste fresh at all. The bacon was like kind you buy precooked and put in the microwave. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh enough. The baked potato soup had a good flavor and texture other than the big tough pieces of potato skin that were impossible to chew up. The Mac n cheese was probably the worst as it was bland and had a grainy texture. The cookie was unexpected and nice touch and was probably my favorite part of the meal.
