What a horrible experience I had tonight. I ordered a large pizza and a four pack of soda. I have been a customer of Pizza Hut for many years. I’m sure I’ve spent hundreds of dollars. Tonight I placed an order at 9:37PM. Today’s date is April 2nd. I was given an eta of April 2, 2021 at 1:00AM. Obviously, there was some mistake as I ordered twenty hours after my eta. I tried calling the restaurant several times. No one answered the phone. Then, I attempted to reach someone at the call center. On the first try, I selected the option for “questions about my order.” The system must have patched me directly to the restaurant. Once again the phone rang but no one would pick up. I also spoke directly with three, different people at the call center. The first two times they had placed me on hold and never returned. The third time I instructed the representative not to place me on hold. She told me that the eta was 12:56AM, three and a half hours after I ordered. She told me that the location was backed up and only had one driver. So, I asked her to place my order with a different yet close location. She told me that they didn’t have delivery at that location. I finally gave up and cancelled the order. I don’t think I was being unreasonable to expect my order to be delivered in less than three and a half hours. In conclusion, the call center person was very unsympathetic towards my situation. We ordered the new cheesy bites pizza with the ranch trio and some other stuff. Everything came correct but we didn’t get the sauces we paid for. We looked at the ranch trio and all 3 cups were only filled maybe a quarter or less. It was barely enough for 1 slice of pizza. I called and was transferred to some call center where they couldn’t offer me a refund only a store credit or to have them bring the sauces back out. I didn’t want credit since we don’t usually order from Pizza Hut and hate this location so got the sauces re delivered which took about 35-40 minutes. The ranch trio was still barely filled, filled only a quarter of the way in already tiny cups. I understand running low on stuff but if you’re running low, call the customer and tell them and ask if they’d like a refund for the low sauces or ask if they’d like a different sauce. No big deal normally but since I paid extra for stuffed crust I wanted to get a refund on that cost. I tried calling the store to ask for this and was routed to a call center. When I asked if I was talking to the store or a call center, the person on the other end of the phone said yes. I explained my situation and asked for a refund. I was then told that I needed to be transferred to another department. That person became very rude when I asked him again if he was at the store. He ignored my question and transferred me to another number which only rang for about a minute then disconnected the call. I had to then drive back up to the store to have the pizza remade. To the store’s credit they did refund my entire order and remade the pizza. I was very impressed by this.
