This restaurant has a wide selection of authentic Filipino dishes and they taste commendable for my palette. I do advise that the owners should properly label the dishes though specially for non Filipino customers. Service was fast and friendly.
The ambience of the restaurant could do some work to make it more inviting to guests. I arrived around 5:30 but there was no one else having dinner. I also have to comment on the fact that chairs were already flipped atop the tables even though they don't close until 7PM. It creates a general false impression that no one goes to the restaurant anymore at this time and I felt rushed to finish my meal since half the number of tables are closed in. So, please leave all tables open until actual closing time. Have faith that more customers are coming to fill the whole dining area.
There is no soothing music or other media to keep customers engaged and relaxed either. This would be a good time to showcase the talented singers that the country is blessed with.
I support them since they are my kababayan. I believe that they can do much more to elevate the Filipino food experience more enticing to the general public.
I will update my review if they address this minor issues next...
Read moreI love this place, but the last 3 times I went it was very disappoint it. Service was very bad, I didn't get a drink till I got up and ask for it? 3 workers sitting in the far table just talking ignoring everyone else. I looked around and every single table needed drinks and refills? Wow. They need to pay attention to the guest . Seems like they don't care to much anymore, buffet table unattended and empty, needs new food and fresh items. Today was not different sit on a dirty table, they were another 4 tables with leftover plates and empty cans for a while and not one cleaned them for the new customers, afther 20 minutes sitting and already eating I had to get up and ask if I could get a drink at my table, after that she seems like she didn't care anyways and it was about 10 other minutes that she got my drink.
Very sad because their foot is awesome specially the caldereta which they didn't make today.
A philipina restaurant without caldereta is like a Mexican restaurant without...
Read moreI went to the Filipino Street Food event, food was good (bbq, kikiam, etc.) but cold and overpriced!! They opened the door for public about 25 minutes late. $2 for a stick of 4 pcs of cold kikiam (that's just one example of how they overpriced). It's a shame how people overprice and did not even think of ways to present food/event properly, serving warm "street food" is a basic requirement. There aren't too many Filipino restaurants in town and I would like to bring none Filipino friends/family but having doubts, mejo nakakahiya po. I noticed the other reviews here, there are a bunch who mentioned how food is cold. My none Filipino husband appreciated the food, it's worth the try but we will not attend an event like that again at Best of Filipiniana Too. I hope someday mag improve po kahit ang maliit na detail lang like serving/keeping...
