Fish Place — Restaurant in Texas

Soooo... Don't let the name fool you...this is a corner store, Chinese-style restaurant, with a little of everything, including some Fish Place items. They use the fish place seasoning and sauce on & for the fish, but they also have burgers, tacos, shrimp fried rice, & more... So, when you are expecting a The Fish Place that's a bit jarring. All that said, the flavor of the fish (cuz that's all I got) is good. The bigger issue is the place & staff. The place needs to be cleaned thoroughly and regularly. I didn't want to sit down as I waited for my food (ToGo), as I was in nice clothes. Additionally, while the one person was really nice, he was eating lunch when I came in and had to leave his meal and not only take my order, but also make it & pack it. He wasn't in uniform or didn't put on an apron & his clothes were unkept, so it's just really unprofessional & somewhat unsanitary. He washed his hands before he took my order, but I have an issue with the person taking orders also preparing food, since they touching the register and cash & very rarely wash their hands going from register to food (& he didn't). While the food was cooking he went back to his lunch, which I can't blame him for since they aren't properly staffed, but, again, it's a sanitation issue. When he packed my food, he didn't rewash his hands, perhaps b/c he was distracted taking a new order, perhaps b/c he felt he wasn't touching the food directly, but whatever the reason, it just proves why break and work time should not be interchanged & why the cashier shouldn't be the cook. (Apparently there was someone else in the back kitchen, but she came out on the phone to go outside to smoke, seeing he needed help, but walking through anyway. All that said, I can't comfortably go there anymore until some changes...

I would give no stars if I could, I do not, can not and never have eaten meat and I was informed by the female manager at this location that with no regards to anyone’s diet that she cooks and prepares EVERYTHING TOGETHER! She had an attitude and didn’t care. She said she gets busy and doesn’t have time. I know understand why when we bought food last Friday from this location that I was extremely nauseous and not feeling well. I thought maybe I just didn’t like the shrimp/breading but I now realize my body was rejecting the unsanitary preparation of our food. I tried to call and the owner is unavailable for 3 months! The manager said she would take a message and hung up. I will be reporting this establishment to any and all health and sanitation organizations. If you don’t eat meat I would stay very far away from this location and if you do I would double check on cross...

This place USED to be good.. they have new people working at the front counter who totally ignore you when you walk up to the counter. I placed an order online and they have this lady who sits right where they put the pickup orders. She saw me standing there and refuse to say can I help you this happened twice and the other girls take their time as well coming to help you. This place used to be packed with a line and people waiting on orders… not anymore!, they hide behind the menu wall not wanting to work. Their chicken wings are good but I ordered the fried fish recently and it was awful not cooked fully and slimy on the inside. I used to come here on a weekly basis, sometimes twice a week. This is my last time going there the food used to be good for the price but the new staff is awful and the food has...
