Jeremiah's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Texas

I've been eager to try Jeremiah's for some time now, as I always see a lot of cars parked out front whenever I pass by. I recently went with a friend and discovered that it's already a popular community spot! When we arrived, we asked a young man who was leaving the store with a few cups what his favorite flavors were, and he gave us some great tips. I also appreciated that the store offered free samples, which was a nice touch. I ended up ordering a gellati with mango and strawberry lemon, layered with ice cream. My friend got the lemon flavor, which she said was good but could have been more tart. The employees were very friendly and worked hard to fill all the orders quickly. I really enjoyed the large mural on the wall and the colorful seating, which added a lot of character to the place. We sat on the patio and watched as a steady stream of cars came through the drive-thru. I definitely plan on going back to Jeremiah's in the future, as the experience was excellent overall. As I've reviewed other places before, you may know I only sweets once a month. Helps keep me in shape and earn my end of month reward.

Saw this place had opened and was super interested in trying it out. Had great reviews and heard someone else say how great it was. Figured i would blow my calories and sugar intake here for the day.

And I kinda regret it.

The store is clean. Folks working are also super nice. But for me, the desert was lacking. I tried the black raspberry ice and it just tasted like a water downed grape. Went with the mint froggy something other when they mix it with the vanilla soft serve.

For me, just wasn't great. Wasn't just blown away by flavor or consistency. The size for the price? That is a bargain now. The large was 5 bucks and massive. So bang for your buck is here.

Rude staff, a female employee tossed my order bag and slammed the drive-thru window shut without any proper ("thank you, nor have a nice day" salutation.) I was astonished of the un-professional service and had to honk to get her attention to re-open the window. I asked for her name; she stated it was Melany and she did not seem concerned in my asking to see if there was any issue/dissatisfaction. This occurred on 11/15/24 around 30 minutes prior to closing. Hopefully management can bring awareness to their staff to properly greet and dismiss their customers in a friendly manner. It appears there is several recent reviews on here with the same dissatisfaction in unfriendly service.
