It's sad to say I can't give this public restaurant facility a minus zero. they do not understand Governor Greg Abbott's exemption for people with health conditions. I was refused service for not wearing a mask. We actually ordered takeout and they messed up our order incredibly bad. I just asked them to fix the order correctly and they refused.
the lady kept telling me the owner would fire her for observing my constitutional and civil rights under the governor's order and under the Americans with disability act.
when I told her I would file a civil complaint with the department of Justice civil rights division she said she didn't care so long as her boss didn't fire her.
She stated to me that she was pregnant and she wasn't going to take no chance on getting coveted.
Unfortunately this young lady is more worried about her job than obeying Texas state law and the federal law on American disability act.
Father she's naive or ignorant of the fact that her basic face covering is not an n95 or a newly developed n97 medical grade mask which means she can receive covid with this face covering on and she can expel it and create an issue for other people so she's the one that is unsafe in a public restaurant and has no bones about violating your civil rights.
she challenged me and ordered me to leave her restaurant immediately and refuse full-service and made innuendo that she would have me remove my law enforcement for exercising my rights.
My friends and I went to another Jimmy John's where they prepared our orders correctly and they had no earthly idea why this other Jimmy John's would not prepare our orders saying they could not fix it in this way.
After being a patron of Jimmy John's for an excessive 25 years and having my sandwiches made the way I want to and never being refused or being told we can't do it that way I knew this was unorthodox and way out of the way.
they accept no responsibility no accountability at this location and have no corn for violating your state rights and your federal rights as disabled Americans.
When employees are more worried about their job than doing what is right and further violating state and federal law while doing so is beyond a shame they accept civil and criminal wrongdoing.
I will follow through with my federal and state complaints on this restaurant. They seem to be petrified of being on video with this location too saying the owner will see everything and I will be fired we can't let nothing be seen on that video that will upset them.
I wouldn't work for a place that I was job scared to the point I would be willing to violate people's rights and violate the law to keep my job.
I think the health department for the state of Texas and the District attorney's office needs to investigate this location for violations of state and federal law ...
Also thank the Federal bureau of investigation which is charged with investigating civil rights violations needs to pay them a visit as well.
I will recommend that they do so.
After 40 years retirement in the law enforcement Public Safety field I know the law is very well and tried to explain that to the lady.

Read moreToday I had one of the worst experiences when ordering food at this Jimmy Johns location. I placed my order online at 7:20 PM. Usually when I order it takes less then 10 minutes for my order to get to me. Today I waited until 7:50 PM to call to find out why my food still wasn't here. When I called they had no idea where the driver was or why my food was not delivered. One of the workers said she would call the driver and call me right back. At 8:20 (30 minutes later), I had to call back because I still had not received my food (1 hour later) and no one had returned my call. This time when they answered my call they said the still didn't know where the driver was and asked if I wanted them to send a new driver. Finally my food arrived at 8:45 (1 hour and 25 minutes after I ordered,) and all I was given was a free cookie. I was told I would be getting a call back to see what else they could do, but that never happened.
