This review is not a lie, its my first review ever in my life, i even created my google account now, I didnt have one before- am really HONEST. Am posting this review because Jolly Jolly Bakery is selling me soft and stale chin-chin 2x in a row.
BREAD: Like other reviews, the Bread is awesome, without a doubt, it taste like there is Blue Band aka butter in the baking process. The bread can get addicting, after 2 months you are wondering where the 10-20Ibs of fat is coming from.. Environment is clean.
HOWEVER: am giving Jolly Jolly 2 Stars(I would prefer 1 Star) because their Chin Chin is super soft n taste old- I thought I was biting on 4-day-old donuts (except in small squares)...
I paid $5.50 for a bag of lousy soft chin chin- i believe its very unfair that you PURPOSELY prepackaged us soft n stale chin-chin. Bear in mind, these are suppose to be freshly made today!!!!, because they didnt have chin-chin beginning last friday till monday, and Today (Tuesday) I call before going in and the lady told me "its freshly made today" but i get home and its nasty.. they became greedy and increased the price of chin-chin from $5.00 to $5.50 which I didnt mind, because I tot it was fair- but its been worseeeeeee
Buy the BREAD. (AVOID THE CHIN-CHIN- its gross.) I will edit and changed my review when they start giving us real crunchy and fresh taste...
Read morePlace has really went down hill since my last review. If you look closely at my images you'll noticed UNDERCOOKED MEAT inside of the meat pies. Nigerian meat pies are supposed to be filled will fully cooked beef (NO RED OR PINK GROUND MEAT). When i showed this to the lady who worked at the bakery, she said that the meat was cooked for 5/6 hours which is clearly a lie. They also refused to refund me for serving the undercooked meat pie. My stomach has been bubbling since yesterday when i bit into a pie and discarded it after i saw the raw meat. If you look on their google review you'll see a person who had a similar experience but pie was COMPLETELY UNCOOKED. Please spare yourself from potential salmonella and never...
Read moreJolly jolly is just the best. I Iove their bread because the taste and texture is reminiscent of original nigerian agege bread. Pastries are A1 too. The product is not enough to keep me a customer because service matter. In this Era where african estaishments are lacking in this department, jolly outperforms. I placed a complicated order and all my requests were accommodated. Friendly owner went the extra mile to ship to my location without any outlandish fees or gimmicks. My bread arrived fresh and well packaged. They have a customer for life. I highly recommend this business. P.S. Don't be deterred by location. They are always willing to meet...
