UPDATED 2/2/24: We came back today and while the food was great, the service was not. We ordered all our food and then asked for a few items “to go” so they would be packed and ready when we were about to leave. We never got any of the “to go” food. They started removing plates and cups before we were even done. We were 5 people and seated at a larger table by the hostess. It seemed like they were hurrying us up to use the table. The restaurant got really busy but once we got our food we never saw our waitress again. Super disappointed in the service today and never did get out to go food.

ORIGINAL: Wow, not sure why this place doesn't have more reviews and stars. We came here after searching for Colombian food and decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed at all.

The restaurant is in a strip mall area off I-10 so at first we were nervous but you walk into this large restaurant with maybe 10-15 tables and you're immediately greeted by happy and friendly waitresses. It's open seating so you can sit in the main dining area or in the breakfast area. They even have some nice comfy chairs to sit and get a baked good and cup of coffee.

The music is good and not too loud so you can still hear your friends/family and the waitress but not so quiet that you can also hear the table next to you.

The food was amazing. We got an assortment and had so much leftovers. The bandeja paisa covered all the bases we wanted and then we added a few other items. We also got sancocho de res to go which will be dinner with the leftovers. This place is definitely a must if you're in the area (or not) and looking for authentic...

BE AWARE! SPEND OVER $150, and and 18% AUTOMATIC GRATUITY will be imposed, even on FOOD TO GO or when over 6 diners. We dined in being party of 3, but ordered 10 dishes to go. They charged us as if they had served 13 people. The owner justified that it is printed on the menu, but the print is so tiny that you need a magnifying glass to read it. They are also supposed to disclose this verbally before providing the service, but they did not. Keep in mind that automatic gratuity funds are considered restaurant funds and are not specifically designated as property of the server by the customer. An employer may choose to share part or none of the automatic gratuity funds with their employee. However, automatic gratuity is NOT mandatory, and the fact that I disagreed should have been a reason to refund me. Very unethical!

I normally tip 20% when the service is outstanding, but it was not. Plus, based on number of diners, NEVER on food to go.

I did not want to put reviews about this, but it bothered me that instead of contacting me for at least a partial refund, they justified it. We have dined in 100s restaurants around the states and have never seen this, not even at 5-star restaurants, especially on food to go. It is outrageous! So, SPLIT THE BILL or DON’T SPEND...

I went here to try it out for the first time with my family to celebrate my brothers achievement. The waiter took our order for appetizers & drinks, we waited 20 mins to receive the appetizer without any plates. Another 5 mins went by without plates and we decided to eat it on napkins. Our appetizers came before our drinks & he was barley making a smoothie that we ordered when we finally gonna the appetizers. After that we ordered our food & it took 15 mins to come which is not that bad but, my plate was the only one missing along with a side of fries. 10 mins went by & I finally receive my food. My moms plate came cold & the pork wasn’t even cooked all the way. My mom also held up her arm to call the waiter over to our table to give us our check but, he would ignore her by looking at her then quickly looking away as if he didn’t see her. Overall I do not recommend this place due to the poor quality of...

We hired chef Antonio Rossell from Made in Medellin to cater at my daughter's Quinceanera for 250 people. We had a tasting that included two different dishes. We agreed in one, (1st photo.) A week before the event I met with a really nice lady at the venue since they wanted to see the space, how the kitchen was set up etc. she said everything look good and assured us food would be good to go and warm. The day of the event came, and when they started serving, I notice the plate look totally different from what we had agreed on. I went to the back to speak with the chef, he said that the reason it was different was because they had no one to heat up the veggies, and that the kitchen was too small, to text him and he would give me and my husband a free dinner. 2nd picture is what was served. I was very upset, and disappointed. We paid thousands of dollars for this food. He showed no cares.

My experience with the Patacon con pollo, carne y chicharon was anything but delightful. The chicken had the consistency of liver. The carne was tough with zero flavoring, the platano was well cooked and there was sauce over everything. We also ordered the chicharon con frijoles y papa. The potatoes were delicious and well seasoned. I loved the frijoles (beans). The chicharon had zero flavoring. When a pig is prepared, it should be seasoned well so that the flavor carries through. I don’t think it saw a drop of salt. The staff was attentive and the restaurant is very clean. I give this place no heat and don’t think I’ll be back. I’m still in search for a great Colombian Restaurant in Houston. I’m sure that this level of “food quality” is not what took the owners from operating a food truck to opening their own restaurant - but here they are.
