The food handling practices at this location is not good. The cashier has only one glove. She takes the same gloves off and puts it back on using the other bare (dirty) hand. This is the same hand that she uses for cash and to touch everything else. She then grabs the same used glove with the dirty hand and reuses it over and over again until it is a wrinkly mess. But at least she uses a glove. I’ve had others at this same location not use a glove at all. One guy was sweeping and then decided to help at the counter when the place got busy. He didn’t put on any gloves. He just walked straight to the donut area and started filling a box with donuts. He tried using a little stick to pick up the donuts but the donuts were still falling all over his dirty hands. My most recent experience here will be my last. I watched the cashier run her gloved hand all over the counter prior to going to retrieve food with the same glove. I ended up leaving. I will try another location. I do understand that some people do not care about this type of stuff but I do not want to get sick because of poor...
Read moreOrdered sausage and CHEESE and jalapeño sausage and CHEESE kolaches. Took a bite and noticed no cheese, opened the other kolaches and saw no cheese. Went back in and very politely asked for kolaches with cheese. The lady at the register looked at me like I was an idiot and stated “there always is cheese so that’s not possible”. And proceeded to unroll it and reveal the smallest sliver of cheese I’ve ever seen hidden under the sausage. It was a joke and they weren’t even fresh, but that’s another story!
As a business, when a customer politely drives back and asks for what they ordered, you give it to them with a smile and you be polite back. I can understand if I came in yelling and berating the staff but it’s two freakin kolaches!
I know his seems like it’s not a big deal, but I didn’t appreciate the attitude and won’t be coming back to this location. Never been treated like that at a...
Read moreThis is perhaps one of the worst Shipley stores in the Houston area suburbs. I visited this store twice. The poor quality of service is simply inexcusable. The store has this foul smell, and the attendants in both instances are not properly trained, struggled to redeem my Shipley rewards, and could not speak English. After keeping me waiting for nearly 20 mins and speaking to someone on the phone for assistance, the attendant still could not check me out. She insisted that I make a purchase before she could redeem my free Shipley reward. I told her that's not the case because I have redeemed my Shipley rewards countless times in other stores without having to make a purchase if I don't need to. She refused to proceed with my transaction and could barely communicate her decision in English. Bottomline: I don't recommend this store to anyone and won't patronize them...
