I order pickup from Manny’s once or twice a month and honestly every time the food has been delightful. Good flavor, great portion size ( I normally order the Spaghetti and meatballs, but I’ve tried the wings, pizza, calzones, salads, and sandwiches; all very good), and fair prices. I will keep coming to Manny’s in the future. However one critique I must give is please just have your cashiers learn to ask for a name for the order for pickup and give an estimated time for when it’s ready. It’s not that hard I feel like to remember and I say this for your sake also. Not asking for names and just remembering complicated orders as a spaghetti or pizza leads to confusion and that’s how you mess up orders and miss items? I don’t know I just think it’s pretty self explanatory. Also cashiers should also always tell people when their food is going to be ready.... I’ve ordered multiple times and there’s always an awkward exchange when I’m waiting for them to ask for my name and give an estimated pickup time and the call always ends with an awkward silence and “Okays”. Just tell me when I can pick up the food. And sometimes I ask “don’t you need my name or something?” When I’ve asked in the past and given my name I usually get a confused “Okay?” Back from the cashier and it’s like dude I’m trying to help you out.... I don’t know I’m waiting for someone to catch on but it’s like no one cares. Other than that great place to get a...
Read moreUpdate April 26, 2021: the owner contacted me and explained that the associate working the register was not trained properly and he should have honored the discount. They are going to correct the money difference by giving me a complementary pizza on my next visit. I really like it when a store takes prompt action and corrects the issue. I have updated my rating to 4 stars to balance out the issue I experienced with the resolution. I recommend Manny’s Pizza for their good food and honorable values for doing the right thing!
Prior review April 20,2021 I’ve been going to Manny’s since they opened their store on Fry Road. We were excited when the Huffmeister store opened as it is much closer to our home. We love the Monday and Tuesday 1 topping pizza special. When I ordered today (April 20, 2021) I was charged more than normal. When bringing it to the attention of the associate working the register, he basically said that the price went up and they plan to offer the deal in the future. Normally I would not have an issue; however, the Special price is posted in very large letters in the store window. So, either cover up the sign or take it down as it comes across as false...
Read moreGreat 1st order...Much lower quality on 2nd order!! We visited here while we were forced to live at a Day's Inn temporarily, due to our home A/C breaking down during our lovely Houston summer, (98-100+ daily for days...). We went in and order a pepperoni and onion pizza and a medium sausage and pepperoni Calzone. Absolutely amazing and delicious!!! Great flavor on the sauce, crust, seasoning, etc!
Two days later we went back and got a ham, onion and pepperoni calzone and an order of hot wings. The wings were good, but they are using a lower grade chicken wing, which can be seen in the amount of blood in the white meat. (I've been in the food service industry for 40+ years!). The Calzone was horrible!! While it looked awesome, it had no flavor, (the marinara used for the Calzone was a different flavor and consistency than the previous order), and it was raw underneath...Not undercooked...Raw dough!
I haven't gone back, but eventually I'm going to give them another shot due to how great the 1st order was...Hopefully the 2nd order...
